  1. Well, the RF 7ii is a generation old seeing as the iii have been out quite a while now. This is just Frys cleaning their house.  Klipsch and other business are probably just fine with holding on to old stock and is why they arent lowering their prices....

I'm not being facetious but maybe you have more skill than I, or maybe your room is better.  In my case with my goofy room and different kinds of speakers I couldn't get the Khorns in particular to sound proper.

The problem with them is they are fantastic 2.0 speakers.  Anytime I added a center or other speakers to the mix the Khorns got dumbed down.  They sounded OK in my 5.1 but they lost their sparkle and performance as Audyssey would always pad them down to about -11 db.  I always knew in a 5.1 I was leaving performance on the table.  The RF-83's (and some other floorstanders I've used in the past) just seemed to integrate better.

That's the compromise you get when using the LaScala ect for HT...you do leave performance on the table in order to match with the other speakers.  That being said, your HT is only as strong as the weakest speaker....The RF7 will have to get padded down as well....and the other issue is that if you are going to do stereo listening as well then you want those heritage speakers there for that vs RF....

  3. Straight Audyssey with no other "enhancements" other than an occassional tone control with specific recordings.  I played Yessss yesterday on vinyl "Starship Trooper" and it was awesome.  Immediately played it again on Tidal and it was a whole new (way better) experience.  I got into Klipsch for the retro, analog, simplistic stereo listening, but moved on to modern digital with Klipsch for the clean pure beautiful sound that Klipsch can truly make.

Oh yeah... heaven forbid you drive a automobile that can't adjust for altitude, humidity,  fuel type.

    :)

I don't think you are grasping the idea of dynamic adjustments.

I see what you did there 😁

But I take issue with your choice of comparisons.... if you look at Audysee adjustments and TV or AVR video adjustments just because the manufacture implements them doesn't autmatically mean they work the way they are intended to (ie motion handling actually causing more judder ect) And dynamic volume control compressing the music as to make it unenjoyable.  The same goes with dynamic contrast, if you dont notice it then good for you, but for me it IS noticable and takes away from the experience.  Comparing it to an automobile changing speeds is over simplification at best....

  5. The model of Q series is VERY important.  The Q6 (which seems to be all the rage for SC, BB, and Costco) to put on sale is edge lit led.  The Q8 is the FALD and makes a HUGE difference.  I got the 65" Q8 at RC Wiley Preblack friday for 2k even.  Havent seen it less than 2250 anywhere...
