Well, after multiple eqs I settled on one. At first I thought there was something slightly off on the sound. Then I realized I was hearing more detail than I ever had. Then I realized an hour had passed just listening to random music. Then the depression set in realizing how much money I had wasted to get to this point when I could have just pulled the trigger a long time ago. Then the joy set in realizing that my journey was over and now I can just listen to the best sounding (to me) music reproduction I've ever heard.

A wise man once said, "Can't we all just get along?" And to that question I answer yes. Let Klipsch and JBL live together in harmony. I know I'll never make the Klipsch instagram feed but this setup is pure sonic bliss to me....

From someone who has gone down this road....save your money and buy the Xilica 4080, you will end up there eventually anyways.

Born in San Antonio. Moved away around 5 yesrs old. Came back around 11 years old and lived out by Bandera. Moved away again around 15 and have been trying to find a way to move back since but CA weather and geography keeps me here...have considered political refugee status to return to TX but havent pulled the trigger yet....

I didnt notice a difference with mqa. Got rid of the node 2i and went to a small intel NUC pc running usb out to my parasound preamp dac and notice a difference using Amazon music hifi.

Im currently crossing at 1000hz with great results. Guessing with the 402s i could drop it to 500 or so

Jbl 4642A two dual 18" woofer bins

So I have a set of jbl dual 18" bins that play down into low 20s and up to 1000hz which i currently have paired with jbl 2385a horns. Would a pair of 402 horns on the jbl lowers work goodcor are front radiating woofers not going to work well with the 402?

Hmmmm.....im almost thinking of getting a pair....much cheaper than bms two way....just cant get used to titanium drivers....too harsh. These EMT seem to be sounding smoother??

No I agree with you. The sound of the Marantz dac is warmer and smoother.

I personally really like the Marantz DACs and sound. I would say not to add anything unless you are feeling you are missing something. I have marantz sr7012 in living room system and love the sound. My dedicated listening room I went with Parasound for 2 channel listening. Ive contemplated switching to marantz but am liking the Parasound sound too.

I switched from Tidal to Amazon HD and for 99% of songs I don't notice a difference. I'm running Node2i via optical and rca (so i can switch between Node Dac or my Parasound P6+) I'm running dual jbl 18" bass bins with the jbl 2446h on jbl horns for high frequency (very high sensitivity) and can only tell a difference on very few songs.

I'm sorry (not sorry) but after having traveled the upgrade path from minidsp, to behringer, to finally xilica I dont know how anyone talking about making a speaker and audio quality being a factor could recommend the minidsp or behringer as an option at all. The noise floor on those are just too high for high sensitivity speakers
