Passive crossovers are actually much more difficult than digital crossovers - and they're not adjustable to your room's needs: they have to be redesigned to adjust crossover frequencies, filter sharpness, and balancing/EQ.
You're simply unfamiliar with digital crossovers: it takes maybe an hour of playing with one to get the hang of it, using your ears as the feedback mechanism--just like the old analog graphic equalizers (GEQs).
A lot of angst before starting, however. Same thing for personal computers when they first hit the scene--except they were many times more complicated to get running in the beginning (e.g., MS-DOS, etc.).

Ya, I'm definitely getting the hang of it. I couldn't have done it without all your help. All the info you sent me was incredible, it's definitely sounding a LOT better now! Well, I can tell ya up until now I had never had a speaker that can rattle the walls in my house with ease without the use of a sub paired with them until now!

I got the Jubilee's today, have them all hoked up and everything but I am extremely lost as to how to set up the active crossover. I got the Xilica XP-2040 because of very high praises from Chris A as well as amazing reviews on the internet. I have no idea how to set the crossovers though and I don't wanna risk damaging anything, I haven't even had a chance to listen to them yet!
Any help would be hugely appreciated!

I agree I would look into the R-112 or even the R-115. To be honest you can find the R-115 for pretty much the same price you mentioned if you look around. eBay has them brand new lots of times for 600-650 from very reputable sellers like Onecall and others. Also, check with @MetropolisLakeOutfitters and see what kind of deal he can get you.

Definitely try the K-horns alone too though, I am very excited to hear your thoughts on how they compare to the La Scala's.

Ya, there's no way I'd be able to do that. I've got my tv on top of my la scala. The only way I'd ever be able to do that is if I had a setup like @Youthman and had behind screen speakers. Maybe someday but my theater room is definitely nowhere near big enough or set up for that. I am very happy with my La Scala as a center though it's got a real nice big soundstage that really brings dialogue to life. In some way's I like the sound of the La Scala's better than the K'horns but they both have their strengths.

Ya, it would be I do agree but it's kinda better than just putting them in storage until I can have a dedicated music room for them.

They don't get as much but throw in a good action bluray and they will get a nice workout, especially if you have them hooked to an external amp. Going from using AVR power to an external amp the biggest difference I noticed was how the rears came to life especially during a good bluray.

Wow, that's really nice I appreciate that. I will just stick with the Emotiva though I actually just noticed the bass bins are rated at 4 ohms and my amp says at 4 ohms it pushes 550wpc so that should actually give me more power than I thought.

Alright so here's a question. Right now the plan was to bi amp the Jubilee's obviously that's why I bought the Xilica now as it stands I was going to run everything through my Emotiva XPA Gen 3 but I am reading the recommended amp settings and it says for the bass bins they recommend at least 800 watts so my question is do you guys think I should just run the mid horn off the Emotiva (which puts out about 250 watts per channel) and is also running the rest of my 5 speakers (center and rears) and get 2 mono amps for the bass bins?
As of right now I am planning on sending the emotiva back to have the extra 2 channels added (as of right now I only have 5) but it's modular and you can upgrade. Should I cancel that and look into bigger amps for the bass bins?

Oh ya definitely a better dealer! Does anyone here know the exact height of the Jubilee's? On the Klipsch pro store they only have the dimensions for the 3 way. I am getting the 2 way.

Ya, the Jubilee's, like the heritage speakers are built to order so I've been told that the wait time right now is around 2 weeks but that doesn't include transit time. I'm guessing I'll hopefully have them by the latest a month from now. Lol I just hope the shipping company is better than the last one that lost my K-horn.
I have to say I don't know if I have the heart to sell the K-horns lol not to mention the little issue I ran into with the non sequential serial numbers. I can tell you right now if I did sell them I would not be low balled by anyone saying oh they aren't matching serial numbers I would only sell them for not one penny less than what I purchased them for because the serial number's may be mismatched but it's only by one number and that doesn't in any way affect the sound or the fact that they are brand new K-horns.
I don't think I will sell them though, who know's perhaps someday I will have the opportunity to have another dedicated 2 channel music room and have them in there.

He pretty much spent the whole day texting me and answering all my questions and making sure I chose the right one as well as made sure I had the proper gear to run them. Highly recommended to anyone looking to buy Klipsch gear!

I just wanna also say that a lot of you probably think I am absolutely crazy with all the speakers I have purchased lately and the way I made it sound like I am not happy with the K-horns. I have been listening to them all day pretty much today and I am in no way unhappy with them they do sound amazing and have absolutely incredible detail. Things that I missed even in the La Scala's I can hear with these. They have their stengths over the La Scala's and weaknesses. I did a lot of research before buying the K-horns and read a lot of K-horn vs La Scala threads and basically what people say is true. The K-horn does have a much more overall balanced sound and a lot more detail especially at higher volumes and clearly better bass but the La Scala's seem to have a stronger midrange and in my experience a bigger soundstage.
As I said before I am 99% sure the only reason I am not getting that monster soundstage out of the K-horns is because I am too close. Everywhere I read everyone says you should have them at least 30ft apart and be a lot farther from them than I am. Also they say you shouldn't have anything within 4 ft of the bass horns which I cannot accomplish in my room. I think overall the Jubilee will be a much better match for my room. Especially considering the orbital shifters coming in they would have made it even more crowded around the bass horn of the K-horn.
Then lastly as I said earlier, I didn't realize you could purchase Jubilee's from the Klipsch website I always thought you basically had to buy the parts used and build them yourself.
I remember when I first joined this forum everyone told me this stuff was addictive and boy were you guys right! In my whole life I have never found something that propelled me and pulled me in like this! I do still love the K-horns though and would highly recommend them but when I saw that for sale thread with the Jubilee and then saw that you can actually buy a pair new for a lot less than I thought, I was pretty much sold, lol at that point I couldn't even stop myself. I actually told myself I would sleep on it for a night and didn't get one minute of sleep that night just knowing that this was something I had to do!
Then the way pretty much everyone in that thread was saying the jubilee's are one another level even to the K-horn well I guess you could say curiosity has killed the cat so to speak..

I'm not sure if you mean the connection behind the speaker or the amp but I'm not sure if you would even be able to really make out whats going on behind the amp because its a mess right now. I will try to explain though. Basically the bass bin has the option for bi amping too which when I saw that I got a little nervous because I don't have the equipment for that but I spoke with Cory and he said just use a jumper which after looking I saw it actually came with one pre installed.
What I did was run the bass bin and the 402 horn to their own individial channels then basically what you do is take the L and R output from your processor and put it through the crossover and it will give you 2 outputs, one for the highs and one for the lows. Then you hook those into their own channel on your amp so basically in order to do this your going to need 2 additional channels (4 channels to run your mains). The biggest thing though is to make sure you know which output on the crossover is going to which part of the speaker otherwise it can get very confusing and you can end up sending the highs to the woofer and vice versa which I'm sure can lead to driver damage.
What I did was write everything down and double and then triple check to make sure I had everything right.
