  1. Well, I just went to Home Depot and bought 4 60lb bags of concrete I got some plywood too and I already ahve the form done. The walls are going to be 3.5" thick. Fortunately my computer is near the basement door, so it'll be easy to get inside with the dolly..
  2. Anybody know where to buy foam for sound proofing? I'm building a cabinet for my computers and want to line it with 3 or 4 inches of foam to make it sound proof. Does Home Depot sell any kind of foam that works as sound proofing?

  4. I buy everything I can over the internet, unless I need something from the hardware store or some small car part etc. Places I buy from often: amazon, newegg, ebay, pondliner.com (way cheaper than my local garden center), pizzahut.com, summitracing.com, mwave.com (until I found newegg), sportsauthority, etc.. I haven't been to a mall since like 1998. The internet was designed for antisocial people like me
  5. Antennas don't count because they're not considered part of the structure. However spires count because they're considered part of the cosmetics of the building.
  6. Hey I got one of those credit card offers in the mail. Should I sign up for that or should I co-sign with my parents (they have excellent credit)? I'm just too lazy to go down there with them to sign up, and it would be easier to mail it in lol.. What benefits would I have if I signed up with them? I don't know anything about credit cards but I would like to start establishing my credit since i'm 24 Thanks
  7. My receiver is 75w, my speakers are 125. Does this mean I can turn the volume to max and still have room to go? The thing is, at 1/3 volume the speakers are REALLY loud and I'm afraid I'm going to break them..
  8. Damn, I just realized I could use my VCR.
  9. Hey, how hard would it be to take my tv apart are rewire the speakers to run to my receiver? The speakers in it really suck and I want to watch the world series with my Klipsch speakers. I could rent a cable box from my cable company but don't feel like pay $5 a month when I just want to route the sound to my receiver.. BTW, there's no audio out on the back of it, already checked.
  10. Just wondering what are some of your favorite movie soundtracks?
  11. Gone in 60 Seconds (the original) the whole movie is one big car chase.
  12. I bet their car was even more messed up if it was one of today's plastic boxes..
  13. If I were him the first thing I would do is kick all the illegals out.
  14. Do you think they would sound better if I bi-wired them? How do you know if you need to biwire?
  15. Oh yea, when I first got my RB-35's I was disappointed, but once you use them more you'll appreciate the differences. You'll go through your cd collection and listen to all the sounds you missed before.
  16. I have the RB-35's and the Promedia 5.1s. The biggest difference is the RB-35s can go MUCH louder, and i haven't even gone near 1/2 way on my 75 watt Harmon Kardon receiver..
  17. I have the RB-35s and they are nice. I was watching Apocalypse Now day before yesterday and the sound of the rain was amazing.
  18. Yea, it's working for me this morning but wasn't last night, unless I used an anonymous proxy server. Must have banned my ISP (Cox).
  19. Ouch, I've never received a package that looked that bad
  20. Yea, now that I think about it you could probably get an XM Radio for less than that..
