It's a tight area, I wanted 5.1, my wife liked the small cubes, and my brother got them for me at 5% over cost from Best Buy. My big setup is in my basement, but this allows me to have 5.1 upstairs with speakers that I already have. Fire away!

Mine was recently damaged by a dog toy...ouch. I am checking with my local dealer, but I thought someone might have better info. Anyone?

I just received my 2900 last week and I am loving it so far. I reluctantly picked mine up new on ebay for $735. If an authorized dealer would have come close I would have felt more comfortable with that.

I've been very happy with Dish Network. The previous posts cover all of the technical stuff. On a customer service note, Dish has been great for me. I had a hard drive go out on a PVR receiver and a remote control failure. In both cases they shipped me a new item the next day without too much troubleshooting on the phone. HBO in 5.1 is the business.

I am a huge fan of my Sunfire True Signature. You can get one online for roughly $1600 brand new if you are willing to go outside of an authorized dealer. Do a search and check out what The Ear says.

Check out stuff from Bell'o. They're not cheap, but they have many options, colors, and configurations. The quality is top notch. www.bello.com

I have a Sunfire sub as well - same exact Diamondback cable. I'm running both connections w/ no issues. I posted on this topic a while back. People told me that I could expect slightly higher output by using both connectors. I do notice that I have to turn my sub down a little so that it's not overwhelming.

I got my Sunfire True Signature for close to $1500 (unauthorized online dealer of course). If you are concerned at all with size it's worth checking out. It sounds amazing and it's only 13" x 13" x 13".

It ended up being a bad S-video cable. That's odd since it's Monster. Changed the cable - problem resolved. Thanks for the feedback. - Zach

More details: I recently purchased a Bell'o TV stand for my system. After re-attaching all of my cables I discovered that my TV signal is all in black and white. The DVD and receiver setup screen is in color, as with my xbox. I didn't get finished until late last night so I didn't have time to properly troubleshoot. I'm using Monster S-video cables to connect a Dishnetwork PVR500 (a JVC dish receiver w/ a hard drive). My next steps are: - Obviously, snug the video cables (done) - Try different video inputs (done - Try watching a recorded event from my hard drive (done - still B&W) - Use a different S-video cable in the same jacks - Call Dishnetwork Thanks for any similar experiences/fixes.

I've been thrilled with my Sunfire Signature, although it isn't cheap. Read up on the Sunfire if you have the money to spend on one.

The cable has one jack on the receiver end and 2 on the other. It's no different than running a Y splitter on the sub end. I can use one of the plugs and cap the other, or I can run the other into the right input on the Sunfire. I good with the replies that I have received. I've had both jacks connected since this post. I don't notice much difference really. Thanks for the replies.

I paid $1500 for a pair of RF-7's from Ovation Audio (a small chain located in Indiana and Kentucky). They were offering a promotion of buy one speaker, get the second one 50% off. That's the best deal I've seen from any authorized dealer.
