  2. I have a friend selling a selsi telescope in a large wooden crate wooden tripod there is a plaque that says selsi  coated optics f=910mm, D=80mm it comes with a manual of sorts states selsi model 247 telescope instructions for use its only 4 pages, and theres a packing diagram as well  it is missing a solar reflecting screen and the bar used with the screen which from what I can tell is used to view the sun as a reflection on the screen ?  anyway I have seen these on flea bay for 300+  He is asking 150  good deal ? I have looked through it at the moon and the thing does show a very sharp image when lined up and focused. My shaky hands make it very hard for me to use and if it is a good deal i thought of you guys maybe someone here is into this and would know if its a good scope and may have been looking for 1

What do you guys think ?

Drop in the bucket for what you’re getting (if you’ll use it). It would already be mine lol.

  3. Right now I have my Heresy IIs on stands that are about 26" tall.  Moving to a new place and want to use those stands for my RS-7 surrounds.  Should I just get another pair of stands for the Heresys or should I look into the factory style slanted risers like Bob Crites sells?  I'll be sitting approximately 8 feet from the Heresys which will be spaced the same distance from each other.  I want the sound to appear to come from in front of me, not below.  That's my main hesitation with the slanted risers.

    I’d go with stands.

  4. Advanced HDMI® Zone Switching

    Yes indeed:

Full video and audio capability in second zone. While standard HDMI zone switching can only send HD video programs to the main and second zones, advanced HDMI® zone switching from Yamaha adds the capability to choose from all audio and video sources for playback in Zone 2*. An on-screen graphical user interface makes it easy to browse and select content to enjoy from the second zone no matter what is being played in the Main Zone. *The second HDMI output can be assigned to Zone 4 as well (HDMI inputs only).

Is it even possible without seeing the labels?

  6. Hey all you Khorn owners, what are the components attached to your babies?

Solid State here. Yamaha M series amps and same era pre’s. AR TT, Yamaha cassette and cdc units plus a tuner. Good recordings shine as poorly done are revealed. Double-edged sword I’ve grown to appreciate.

  7. explain "they work"?

I was getting sound from resonance on glass shelving through my TT. I put a pad under each foot. The isolation and vibration dampening provided made that noise go away. Because they are so inexpensive, I also threw a set under my CD changer. I bought enough for my other systems, too. I have not set them up yet. I apologize for not knowing better terminology to describe the hollow sound that I could hear resonating. It was similar to the change in sound I hear when putting a dust cover down on a TT while it’s playing (something I find undesirable).

  9. Have not heard that in a while, the opening is very reminiscent of ARS!
