  1. The Decware auction is over and it was crazy at the last couple minutes. I don’t know if the winner made a mistake, it went for crazy money..
  2. My EVO 400 in Triode mode sorta gets me to the single ended sound..I have been switching back and forth between my Naim amplifier, Aric amplifier (borrowed from a friend) and my PrimaLuna EVO 400. After a hour or so I always end with the PrimaLuna. Something about the sound calls to me….I just tap my foot when it plays. I found an old Phase Linear 400 in my attic I bought new in the old days. That didn’t last long hooked up lol
  3. I had a great music session today, just can’t get enough. The PrimaLuna and the ForteIVs really sound awesome with this music…The used Decware market is expensive too for what you get. There was a UFO for sale a few weeks ago 20 miles from me, talking to the guy he already sold it after having it a couple weeks, it was new but he didn’t like the sound with his La Scalas. He preferred the Shiny Eyes Radu amp he already had. Thinking a lot about the sound today with the EVO 400, there is no doubt the bass is really nice. No complaints here….Here one of my crazy playlists, you need a amp with some grunt to play these songs…
  4. I bought from Sean at Upscale, he bent over backwards to help with questions I had 7 days a week he would get back to me. I am drinking coffee and have the Primaluna in Ultra sound mode, sounds excellent….makes my old ear sparkle…..toes tapping…it’s all good…the Decware amp at the auction they are having is way to expensive for what it is…
  5. Yes I bought it new from Upscale, the people there are really nice to work with. My room isn’t very big, 12x15, carpet and lots of quilts on the walls…there is a French door with lots of glass…very nice room, close to the refrigerator, coffee pot and bathroom….
  6. Hello, Thanks for all the comments especially Daniel. Everything you said is 100% right, I have always wondered what the deal was with Decware. There is a private auction going on with a Decware amp I was considering bidding on but after what you said it open my eyes. It’s not worth paying a premium to get one that is brand new. It’s been about 5 weeks or so listening to the EVO 400 and I really love it, no way is it going back. It’s a real life time amp which most likely there won’t be any problems with. There sure is a lot of tubes if I ever wanted to change them for fun like my friend Fido did. I listen to a lot of Electronic music which has a lot of bass and tons of things going on, the PrimaLuna is really excellent with this music. Some songs are a tad bright in Ultra so the remote to click into Triode is really nice. To make this amp perfect it would be nice to find a couple 12AU7 tubes to tone it down just a touch but it’s not a problem if I can’t do it..Being retired the wife and I get up around 7 and the music starts durning coffee and stays on until 3 pm and we don’t get fatigued…it’s really good at low listening levels. The bass is perfect, it actually sounds like the instrument or what ever is producing the bass, we look forward to hearing it on my Forte IVs and the Fortes I bought new in the 80s…If anyone out there is thinking about a PrimaLuna you can’t go wrong it’s a great amp…I am close to being 70 so all I want to do is wake up and get another day of this sweet retirement and listen to music at the same time the tv is on, that the advantage of having two systems in the same room…you get the best advice in this forum, thanks a lot..
  7. Has anyone done a comparison with the PrimaLuna amplifiers and the Decware amplifiers?
  8. The Cary SLI-80 looks really good, going to dig into it …..putting the Elekit together might be above my pay grade…
  9. I haven’t pulled the trigger yet, my day consists of research and more research….So far contenders are Quicksilver, Aric audio which I sent a message to and no response, I might call for information on wait time…
  10. I have a pair of Forte IVs…. which is the best tube amp choice? Big wait list for Decware, I would probably be dead before my turn. I have been using the Naim Uniti Atom from a different system I have, it’s a little bright. Looking to calm this bright speaker down a little… Thanks
  11. That’s just what someone recommended…that’s why I am here to get the real scoop
  12. Is there a option besides tubes that gets me close
  13. I will be doing just streaming. I airplay all my music to the Node….
  14. I have a pair of Forte IVs, can anyone recommend a amp? It’s for two channel which needs RCA inputs to hookup to the Bluesound Node. My budget isn’t great, $1500…Someones recommendation is the Audiolab 6000A or the 6000A play….they have 50 watts.. anyones advice is greatly appreciated….
  15. I don’t have room for both.....it’s one or the other....all I know they are a couple years old so they must be nice..
  16. I would have to get rid of the RF-7II, don’t have room for both. My system Yamaha RX-A2060 Emotiva amp for the RF-7ii RC-64II RP-250S It’s a home theater system....
  17. I have never listened to a set of Klipschorns but have a chance to get a pair. They are a couple years old which I just inherited from a relative. My problem is they are on the east coast I am on the west. I have a set of RF-7II which I love. So the cost of shipping them here and it will be one or the other when they get here. Which ones are better sounding?
  18. It makes a click noise random and far between.....sounds like it's coming from the back of the speaker never know which one does it......the sound doesn't change doesn't affect anything just a click....thought I would ask before tearing everything apart.....I do have a Emotiva Gen3 amp but doesn't come from the amp....
  19. I have a set of RF-711 is it possible for the crossovers to make a random clicking noise? The speakers are about 6 months old...
  20. Has anyone heard or bought the Klipsch wireless The Three? How does it sound and what kind of range does the wireless have?
  21. I just added the Emotiva XPA Gen3 app to my Yamaha A2060 and Klipsch RF-711.....I can hear a huge difference......the bass is better hell everything is better......its a 2 channel amp that you can add more channels later if you want....300watts per channel to the front speakers .....they really came alive..... 22. I bought my Rf-711 from a Online dealer Acoustic Sound Design. I just wanted everyone to know what a great company they are. First of all they gave me a sweet deal on all my Klipsch speakers ....2Rf-711,a center channel RC-6411 AND 4 RP-250s. Everything was way below retail. The reason they are really good is that after having my RF-711S I discovered a small dent on my bottom woofer....I don't know how I could of missed it...but I did. I mailed him a pic of the dent and there's was no come back saying he didn't believe me that I made the dent which I didn't...today a new woofer was on my front porch. I must say this is one great place to buy Klipsch products.... Just a side note.....yesterday I got a Emotiva XPA Gen3 for my Fronts (Rf-711) 300 watts per channel I know most of you say it makes no difference but It made a huge different in the sound on my system I mean huge.....it's like I switched something on....it's better on the low and high volume......my receiver is a newer Yamaha A-2060 a very nice receiver....so I am a believer that the new receivers don't have enough watts to really do the job. It sounded ok before but now it sounds Great! Silverfox
