    Happy 4/20!

A little music for he occasion from the late great Mr. Helm. Here's to the farmers for whatever they're growing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsuJa8oSH7s
  2. http://www.ebay.com/itm/KLIPSCH-LA-SCALA-/282438026897?hash=item41c29e4691:g:QIIAAOSwWWxY9prv Not affiliated, just interesting listing: 6 days, currently $500 with a $100!? S&H option from Parsonsburg, MD....zero rep seller.
  3. Welcome, I'm a fairly new member as well, but figure I'll try to start contributing when I can. The big question I see is, why'd you pass on the La Scalas (size, condition, sound, WAF)? That and answering jimbos question should direct you to what you will build, be it either cornwall or cornscala. The $0.02 answer for the crossovers is you have AA which are for the Khorn, LaScala and Belle, specifically adding protection for the K-77 tweeter. Cornwall crossovers were type B, B-1, or B-2 depending upon year. Just a note, and it's hard to exactly tell from the picture, but the one on top of the fridge looks to have different capacitors of the oil can variety. I'd agree with jimbos recommendation of selling the AAs, assuming your going the cornwall/scala route, and build new crossovers to go with the new speakers. If it were me, I'd go with the Cornscala D model and source the parts from Crites. Take that with a grain of salt though, cause I haven't built or heard them. I own La Scalas and have heard Cornwalls though, so I do like the idea of merging the two beasts. I'm sure more will chime in.
  4. That link does in fact say "sold" on the picture; however, there's little blue text above it that says it's been relisted so it would appear these are still available.

    KG-4.2

https://www.equip-bid.com/auction/2235/item/1737 (not affiliated with this sale or website, just putting it) I think these are KG-4.2 (edited per Opusk's & jjptkd's comments - Thanks!), along with some other bookshelfs and a center. I can re-edit this post if someone is better at identifying. This is an auction style website through various vendors. I've purchased different things off of there before without problems. If you're interested, biggest thing to keep I mind is the scheduled pick up dates, which are firm. Also, unlike e-bay, you can't come in at the last second and snipe the items, I think it resets to 5 minutes if you're within the last 3 minutes of the auction.
  6. So hypothetical situation: used LS (with sub) vs. FIIIs...space not being a concern, any thoughts of pros/cons. I realize that this is probably an apples/oranges comparison (I haven't been able to hear either speaker in my lifetime), but the biggest draw to me would be probably picking up a pair of LS for about half of what the new FIIIs would be. And I already have a sub to support the LS. My brother has a pair of RF7s, which I have heard and love, so I suppose that could be another option if that would help. Thanks
  7. I've been wanting to dive into the Heritage line for awhile (eyeing Heresy iii), but I think procrastination will have paid off. Here's to hoping to have the Fiii's as my intro to Heritage. Thanks to all the input from the veterans on here, that helped cut down on my productivity at work today.
