Every now and then something brings this gem to mind. If the original hippies had the Summer of `69 the group of herbal and chemically uninhibited kids here had the Summer of `79. Cops&Robbers...... naaa here it was Pigs&Freaks complete with confiscation and consumption of the contraband! That's the context, then this comes out on FM and everything stopped like it did for the Saturday night scramble at 11:00 pm in the mid `70s!

My mother was the same even with the little Jamaican Blue Mountain bags. She didn't see the depression being born in the middle of it, but some kind of fond memory caused it. Did your wife grow up on a farm also?

Hope if you're in the southeast that you're on high ground. & if you are you know what I'm talking about, the remnants went through FL 600 plus miles away from here. Darn, ya know when you can hear the roar of the rain pounding the roof that it's hard even when it's dark out... (Neighbors must have quit affording the streetlight in their back yard) but from ten last night until almost eleven today it did not let up one bit. Gutter at the corner was clogged at the house north of here, and it's strange but the water goes north-east up the road on my block like the Nile does. Put my poncho and pressure washing boots on and went and fixed it. I filled a 32 gallon trash can four times with that heavy mix of wet leaves and pine needles in the drive then three times at the curb, dropped my clothes at the washer/dryer at the back door and cleaned up. Still achy from the flu shot but it did not hit me bad this year. Second Coffee is in order today!

So true, and it took two weeks for my Perfekts to get here from that AJBrooks that is is up there.

Sure is, there was something in the almanac for this year i think about cicadas being lots more than their big years. But nope it's the frogs, but they don't change colors like the lizards do.. I'll catch one when I can but although it was almost 80 today they have been few since August.

Geeze youtube was down worldwide for a while, found out when looking at g-mail being darned sluggish today. Still R&R ing with an orchestra that's more than what Alan Parsons used above.
