    The Other Discs

Only ripped mine off in public once, when a bunch of yellowjackets flew up my leg and got to stinging me close to my crotch. Glad I had sneakers on they flew across the cul-de-sac and 501s to the middle of the yard me yelling all the while. How much cash did he offer you for them @BigStewMan? Had this in the car this morning, it's on "War Child"

Smokin' OP's does have a good version right side, second drawer down! *Top of page 12 here
  4. The Don used that story a while back at a large friendly get-together. Al's version is a lot better!

Never felt like a rebel, but it is yuppy- ville here on the south side of town. I get disparaging looks now instead of whistles, could be the red cap (USA Flag smiley)
  6. Know what? All the chit chat has got me going. Think I'll go make second coffee.

I always say: screw what's in style... Boots jeans & t-shirts... plus a flannel this time of year!
  8. Dang @Edgar you keep on top of that, and thank goodness we have both met a few good MDs at least!
  9. Mine is time released and hits full force five hours after I take it. Immunos for 19 years now gave me hypertension and are eating my platelets now. Don't pickle your liver folks, it will mess with you forever!

Ok like those kaleidoscopes with the broken glass and oil in them.
  11. I'd drink to that.... if I could😀
  12. They did quarentine four people here in town last Thursday for that bug/plague thing.

    Herringbone is better.
  14. Back, top of my throat hurt last night... took an aspirin and zinc lozenges. After I worked on my trenched front yard from a dimwit that would prefer driving off the road than over the speed lump I just got weak. Used plywood and drove the car over it to flatten the six inch rut then used a stamper to finish and bevel towards the curb a little. Blocked the lane with the trash dumpsters while doing that then put everything up, got the mud off the front tire then I'm wiped out. Darn coreg plus whatever is trying to get a hold of me stinks! One hour of a little work ruined me today!

Not a paisley fan, but that works with the shapes of the flames really well @BigStewMan Good looking guitar. Satriani burned the House of Blues in Orlando when I saw him in the mid 90s. Real virtuoso plus searingly loud, clean sound system. Like khorns in a small room!
  16. Had to let my original copy of this go when I got the new cart. Found one of those "record store day" remasters when I did the trade ins last week. It begs to be cranked, but can't tonight.
  17. Smooth & neutral can be very good. I've had the CXA-80 for a couple years and I can say the sound is comparable to my old Nakamichi SR3A STASIS (Nelson Pass) receiver. It's very revealing and priced nicely for what it can do.
  18. youtube is the answer!
  19. How Some Folks give someone a hard time over something they have zero experience with is just wrong. Just human. Have to get on the waiting list before 2-11 and you'll get a code to be able to get a ticket or two. Darn I made a promise and it's going to be six miles up the boulevard Don't care that they're old at all.
  20. @MicroMara The folks at this forum were welcoming to me too! It's all about the common denominator here, whether it's the Reference RF 7 MK II that you're improving or the stock Heritage Heresy II that I enjoyed for thirty years! We're all Klipsch brothers and sisters here! Now if I had your technical prowess and knowledge I don't even know if I would mess with my F IIIs at all, very happy with them and the small sub!
  21. Mostly digital, but from the amp to the polks it's good ol 14g analog.
  22. Guten Morgen friend, Many can be bought for the $150 - 250 range. I went for a more substantial, branded unit because: 1. wanted a two year warranty 2. would like to pass it on to somebody else when and if I'm done with it. Mine degasses the first five minutes of runtime, then runs in sweep mode constantly. The spinner is a Vinyl Stack brand. It was over $600 with the ultrasound being half off retail and the spinner with 25% off. So it wasn't cheap. Already got $80 cash back from my used LP store just so I could kick $25 back to my brother they would have given me $105 store credit. I'm looking at this as a good decision with what's coming my way and not as exorbitant as it seems because of my turnaround $ already with a small portion of the records. I kept half of what he's brought already with several gems in there! My brother was given four or five hand-made crates full of LPs by a friend of his even though he just listens to Christian music on the radio and streaming it. This is the image he sent me that freaked me out back in October or November. He brought me a one foot tall stack a few weeks ago that I have gone through already. I cleaned my 200+ that I already had and it was a major improvement on many of them!!
  23. Downtown. July 1 American Express people can buy tickets early if not 2-17-20
  24. Several notable actors have "gone home" as we often call it in the south the Floyd above and this that isn't out of place with the other comes to mind now RIP to those good-guys.
