  1. Alright so you've got more testo.... in ya today than me! Mine's got a six... well when it goes over 4K rpms the right bank of the V opens up and it's six. Otherwise it's like a vw with 3 cylinders. Cars are just too darn delicate now days, I baby them or is that back to the coreg zapping my... uhum energy. Keep that hot rod clean & keep rockin' HWY 74 does have some long flat straight stretches of road west of New Hanover Co. this song ain't for daises, careful now!
  2. Got some more possible keepers cleaned up: & found a gem This fella formed a band in the early 60s with Charlie Watts and Mick Jagger called Blues Inc. check out the backside, if you right click it will open up full sized at postimage . com They weren't politically correct back then I've heard through the record. cool stuff!
  3. You are right @Dave1290 Started pulling out some I already had to clean along with the "new" records. Did a stretch of twenty or more that were relatively clean before I had to change the solution yesterday. Put three with high mileage in with a new batch and now have to look for more similar to those and change this water sooner. Not cleaning the Analogue Productions close to perfection LPs, maybe later. Oh and I only got a milkcrate full that is a third as much as one of the five 32" crates. Below is what I've managed to clean plus a few half-speeds plus a few others exempt from that now. I'm gonna need a bigger house!
  4. Uh...NO. folgers started it all for me, I liked it bought those two pound red cans in the grocery store for seven dollars. Then something changed with the flavor that I didn't like after `93. ⭐bucks for years until they started that musty nasty tasting bean in everything. Marley coffee was the best until his remaining family ruined the business. Have no allegiance to a brand anymore, I'm a freelancer now.
  5. For the thing with Joey?? Think they did pack it in after Draw the Line... at least they did not hit bedrock with REO!
  6. Not bad for kids stuff. Think I've got enough of Duane and Greg to last a little while now. Only had a "King Biscuit Flour Hour" show I recorded on a 120 cassette for years. Think my brother's friend really liked them these aren't like that Boston lp! Got a few pops, but again not bad at all for the `69 & early 70s records. ** @Full Range hey caught up in that little ditty and things going on here last night, I missed something real big Congrats on becoming a Grandpa soon!!
  7. One monster of a bike, NOBODY gave me grief on Main Street in Daytona during Bike Week riding it .... they were aware. Miss it more than the x that got me to trade it for another Chevy. It looked like this one: And did surprisingly well with cornering!!
  8. Got 2 lbs of Lumbo coming with a $$ little bag of Blue Mtn for my manual maker later this week. Probably won't like Colombian anymore after a couple of days of real Jamaican Blue Mountain!
  9. Any of y'all ever ride a Yamaha Fazer in the 90s? That throttle was sensitive.... you hit a hole, your hand moves and you're doing a wheelie at 45 mph in a split second! Ended up getting the `84 V65-Magna, handled nice and toured well too. Wheelies... yea when you wanted them!
  10. Report for day two: The Blind Faith looks perfectly clean but has a little surface noise, not bad at all really for a `69. Winwoods vocals are just perfect sounding & I can hear Eric singing a few there too! This used to play the FM all the time here! Ziggy Stardust I don't think I've ever heard the whole record before, the mastering isn't as good as the LP above but it's alright! Check this out: APP Ammonia Ave... not sure about. I'll give side two a listen later and decide if it goes or not, it's a let down compared to what I had already from them. Allman Bros...... there's a lot gotta get the machine going again when I can. Jimmy is sounding good!
  11. Already done... Buffett, A P Project and BTO II going in next!
  12. Ahhhh, it's nice and 65 in here right now on the south side of town. For you Mr. Prime Time DJ! Saw one scratch on one of them, it wasn't the M Wired!
  13. Had this exceptionally clean... especially after the ultrasonic treatment 4.5v to the motor equals one LP revolution in 4.5 minutes. Ten minutes makes for "Five" minutes of cleaning all over the disc. Something I've actually looked for and the only price range I could do would be for NM- This qualifies as M with cover that I could care less about as long as it protects the record! Remember getting some without a "glove" unmarried? Yea I do and this record was fresh out then! Back in the 30s outside but it is Sunny inside tonight!!
  14. I am here brother! Feel like spinning a couple up, heck wish I could! Ever heard of the Verve Forecast label? I knew Verve was serious jazz, but this stuff is flat out far out trippin' Getting groovy right now with a Classic: Who are the Flying Burrito Brothers? gotta look them up.
  15. My brother has always liked those sometimes annoying puns... like they went on and on all afternoon. Convinced he's a bit of a sadist now too! Brought me a milk crate full of goodies and the two I was interested in the most seem unplayed! Lots of Allman Bros, Buffalo Springfield, Flying Burrito Bros, Jackson Brown and some unknown to me stuff. Pulled a few out and threw on the floor to give you a look at what it will sound like in the near future here. & he says "Oh you do know there are five of those 32" wooden crates full?" I pulled up our text history, scrolled to when this fun he is having with me started and it proves that he told me four crates then.
  16. 🤣, tell her we would get along famously Willie. Someone taking my plate while I was still eating might just get a fork in it!
  17. Yep the news from that day could have been a lot different if someone with more HP than brains took out half a block of your aptly named spectators!

    The Other Discs

G'Day Paul! That particular Floyd has several good pressurized moments throughout! Reason I note that is it seemed like it had been so long since they had released new material when it came out. One of only two groups I've ever seen that used speakers in the mezzanine to create an even better sound environment for their show! Besides the flying pig a bed like that flew by that show. The "aeroplane" encircled the Dean Dome with their "Wall" set. Blue Oyster Cult was the other group, Godzilla's thundering footsteps slowly encircled the whole coliseum before he came in and that tune started!
  19. Started yesterday evening and had a good go at it today with the non-stop rain since 6am today. With the exception of the Analogue Recording LPS, a half-speed Pete T., Tedeshi/Trucks & Crooked Vultures and the Thorogood I got all of these restored. Found a 45 in there.. a U2 my sister-in-law gave me long ago. No wonder it sounded so good, the old Yah I had you just pressed a button to get 45 rpms. The Pro-ject I have now I have to change belts. Nay Nay, I'll sleep on that! Spyro Gyra were rumored to play a downtown festival here... the first JazzFest. All of those festivals were the same... an excuse to drink beer & cruise downtown without getting arrested. Had to watch out for folks with baby strollers trying to run you over!! YellowJackets came here instead, Bobby McFerrin played close to the square that time, he was fun! Ultrasonic is the way to go, most of these were not really dirty just some surface noise, They look so bad because my RottnPit puppy got mad at me one day and apparently chewed everything that had my smell on it! Played a half dozen or more and besides looking brand new & the background is quiet, heck they just sound years newer now! Very happy with the results. That's not even one fourth of what I'll have to clean, and there's more incoming tomorrow!
  20. Sounds like a nice way to spend a Saturday morning @Full Range ! Haven't played all that I've cleaned... Travers to ZZTop plus a few more scattered seriously used ones. Haven't posted all the pics, decided to give you guys a break. Just played that Gino Vanelli that was so out of sorts with everything I owned in the early 80s. I'm blown away by the nature of the improvement of that LP that I thought sounded decent and had since day 1 only been dry cleaned with my discwasher brush. The vocals and bass are most noticeable at first with every nuance of pressure put on the strings now evident. The sassy ladies background singing, the separation and soundstage have improved! Wow I've reached another plateau of audio nerd-dom
  21. making coffee, cleaning records, eating barbecue, making coffee, cleaning records, taping up sleeves..... maybe 18 done 200 to go
  22. Well you're halfway around the world from me, but I know how lucky you are for picking LS over the other Heritage. And your modded bass bins... I saw the thread on that when I joined here a couple of years ago. ...Now I'm feeling a little lucky right now, jamming on some old Steve Miller that I have not heard in a decade at least. And no scratches on side one... nothing the ultrasound would not make sound pristine, my roomie says he's talented and let me crank it Bobbie Sue, whoa, whoa, she slipped away Billy Joe caught up to her the very next day They got the money, hey You know they got away They headed down south and they're still running today
  23. I recall that listening to those Khorns in the early 80s & the stock barely used `90 LaScalas a year and a half ago that they were made for vocals and alto sax and horns! Ok this is the last pic of my new record restorer, and that's my new name for it! The Dickie Betts sounds good, rich bass..clean vocals and highs for being so old Live Allman Bros took up the other two slots. Still had some needle drop damage at the beginning of the only one I've played so far, but the smudges, finger prints and who knows what else the TurgiKleen took care of. Guess there's no fix for scratches, can't do magic. Drying them isn't fun, but the results are! These are waiting for me to go and dry off in the kitchen now. Homage to @Tigerman with my caramels, the coffee's gone so they're safe for the rest of the night!
  24. Woodwinds & Brass, especially the saxophone are always nice
