More from our neighborhood suburban sanctuary. Neighbor knocked on the door earlier and asked if I wanted to see this. Another neighbor that is challenged by physical labor is paying him to clean up storm damage from weeks ago, and look what was under this limb. With it's long spindly legs and running like Bambi on ice I wonder if it was born today. Saw the doe earlier when saying goodbye to a friend leaving after lunch, but where did the doe go after playing with the other neighbors rodents (3lb incessantly barking bugs)?

From `92 until `03 I was there in Central FL. There were "Sharkbite Capital of the World" signs on the main road going in north of the strand. The road they built the Gilleys on. Kind of like the Coppertone ads with the kid on the beach, except gal in the water with a fin above the waterline nearby! Signs posted on the beach, but people got bit every now and then, not nasty tiger sharks but mostly small ones. Bad thing was once a doctor on the beach had a hole blasted in him by lightning when clouds were far away. Terrible, his family was with him and he lived for a few minutes because it was cauterized.

Yeah @Dave1290 some don't consider that major but it will probably smart for a day or so, bounce back quick! Discovering that I can bounce back somewhat right now. Got up at five Mon. and gave it a good pounding, got to sleep at 7a today for two hours. Sure I'll hit that pillow hard in a few. Straight from Doraville:

Cooled by the clouds the last few days is better that skirtin' with 100 from noon until 6pm for ten in a row! But low 70s when I got up the third time today at 7am with 88% humidity outside. Dog days of summer `round here.

Loved it when Ginger Baker popped that guy in the nose with the cane . @dirtmudd ... perplexed but nice to hear, you're a gem among Genesis lovers! @Mossy bottom does your copy of Bluesbreakers sound exceptional like the nice old one that I picked up last year? London Records did a bang-up job on the recording all the way through the pressing on that LP!

This one didn't except a couple times as a teen. Pickled my filter (liver) before 40, now a teetotaler that a shot a few times a month is all I'll allow myself bud! (Sorry Bill W!) & I've been out since May this time. On another note, I'm back to nursing & cat naps at odd hours. Got my mother out of the hospital this evening, she was in all but 3 1/2 days since 6/14. Sucks for her... an operation, then a week later another of the same kind to repair what the first dumb-dumbs did to her. Will seek counsel on this sh^t, it seems inexcusable to me but not sure of it.

So only one of y'all got a kick out of all the fireworks exploding the day before Independence Day? Newspaper wouldn't let me copy/paste the video sorry. I was sleeping so hard I didn't hear it, Could hear the Carowinds fireworks from here ten miles north every time long ago.

They left their puppet studio off of Pecan and Central Aves. here for the low taxes of SC where they built their gigantic pink elephants, purple hippos and other crazy-a#$ stuff in the town where this news came from today. That's great @oldtimer Should duplicate it here at my place! High 90s all week, thermometer outside the kitchen window at 100 around noon each day. It's been 90 for a couple hours since a very wet thunderstorm blew through here this afternoon.

Awww H*ll a half foot of near mint lps to go through😥 The feat were about the band... not four sets of `em crossing Abbey Road! Just got back to seeing the one that has been the matriarch of our family for a while removed from ICU and put in a regular room. Not ready to sleep even though I'm tired and I couldn't even if I lay down. Never had too many by them, but this one sounds so good, the silly title track, Perfect Imperfection, Kokomo and especially Feel the Groove make me smile and I feel like it tonight!

Radar shows about five miles out or more, shut down the ac condenser already the pc is next. feat! feat! feat! feat!

Thanks guys! Yea it's tough when someone you love is in a bad way. Ladies in her family have lived into their early 90s on a regular basis and I do think she will get better. Just not today though. Hope she can get home to go the few blocks to a clear view for the "3rd of July" fireworks shot from Southpark mall every year.

Well, I'm at the hospital again and have been since Thursday practically. At the big hosp downtown this time. They did emergency surgery to fix what the bas$@+&s at the other hosp did. My mother is coming "out of the woods" but still in the ICU. Miss shooting the &$@! here, she's resting right now. Y'all be good!
