I am useing a marantz SR-880 ------------------ Bose Suck..Period

It seems like when i do turn on the LFE switch on i get a stronger punches on dvd-audio. Turn it off and I lose control. And the knob dont work. And it sounds all boomy and crap. I Have my surrounds and center on large. Should I turn them to small? I did not know my marantz SR-880 does the filter? Can I turn it off? ------------------ Bose Suck..Period

All this talk about being done with 5.1 systems is crap. I am going to go for 10.1 and up. It may not be discrete but you can matrix them. More speakers is always better. I plan to have a sphere 360 surround sound. And go up to 15 or more speakers and 8 subs. And nothing in the room but audio stuff. So far 5.1 is done for me. I am going to go for 7.1. ------------------ Bose Suck..Period

Avman I have all the speakers you do I turn all my speakers small. ON dvd-audio when i turn the LFE on the sub i can play with the knob. At least i know it works!!! But now when i watch tv I get no bass from my mains. So i guess i have to turn the LFE switch off. ------------------ Bose Suck..Period

When i watch a movie on LFE it seems like the FQ knob does not work. I put a cd in and i turn the LFE off and i cant hear any difference. DO i need to us a bass cd? Plus my sub never came with a power cable I have to use a pc cable. ------------------ Bose Suck..Period

I am not talking about purist stuff Thats why i said i want the best that does the most. Krell Standard Pre/pro cant even do DTS-ES OR EX. Thats what i want not some unit that cost $6500 that does two or three things. Lexicon can do a lot of things. Funny thing about Cinepro DTC-10 looks like Lexicon's unit. I Think the Lexicon MC-12 Balanced is the best. I think cinepro DTC-10 is second. Can anyone tell me more. I care mostly on features. I know Krell is real good but i want the best surround modes and which one can do the most things. ------------------ Bose Suck..Period

Also, I having problems with the crossover. I play a CD in stereo and I turn off the LFE and mess with the crossover and it seems like i hear the same frequency's. I would like to know how i can see if that is ok. ------------------ Bose Suck..Period

I just got RSW-15 sub. And i been playing around with the polarity and I can hear a change in music. I would like to know how to test the switch to see if it is working. ------------------ Bose Suck..Period

There are a few PS2 games that have 5.1. And those games you only get it during game play.. Every xbox game i played has 5.1 during game play. You would be blown away by games like Halo on 5.1. when most people have like 3 subs running. When bombs go off you feel what the play feels in the game.I am sorry but i have a problem going back to games that dont have 5.1 or HDTV support.. You really need to feel the games these days. Plus your surround speakers play a big role because if someone is behind you. You know how far the ememy is from you. Like Max Payne. I have a 6 analog preouts and I want a dvd-audio player. I have no analog pre-ins on my receiver. SO can i get a Poweramp and then get the player and use the analog in on the poweramp? Or do i have to get a preamp\pros then the player? Or all 3 ------------------ Bose Suck..Period

I think he is going the wrong way.. The paradigm subs are slow when they are at low levels. The RSW-15 would be better since he has a good size room. He would use a lot of watts. dual SVS would save him a lot of money. ------------------ Bose Suck..Period
