    Spec um made the change last nite here!  Ha...  Lost about 2 hours of viewing but not my internet so deducting that from my bill and THEN I actually looked to see what program I was on with them...  How in the %3() did I get put on the "GOLD" plan?  I certainly would NEVER upgrade to 269 channels and since I'm the only one watching....  Sooooo VERY soon I'm making a call...  Yea, ,it's on me but how it happened I certainly don't know.  Wondered why my bill went up so much when they first bought out Time Warner in this area...  ON IT!  Grrrrrrrrr

     

    Also heard on fb that there were lines out the door in Cbus this morning w/ppl getting adapters for TV's with just a few returning their cable boxes...  So we shall see...  I'm actually thinking about talking more w/a guy who puts up towers and antenna's...  He told me once he could get darn near everything I'd ever need from an antenna...  Time to nose a bit...  😎

    Since then lots and lots of channel have not had that all important HD after the call letters.😆

    Ha!  Welllll, it's actually my brother-in-law and he's ALWAYS  the one "on top of EVERYthing!"  ALL the answers ALL the time. I just sit and smile a lot.  Patience is a virtue???  😎

    Hmmmm, here's a post from my brother-in law...  He's ON the cable tv garbage.  Spectrum bought TWC here in Ohio and the per TV charge/adapter goes into effect tomorrow.  Have at it!  :)

    Recently, to lower our Spectrum bill we dropped our landline phone and went from 200+ channels to 125. Now we are being told that the TVs we have in the house that are not connected to a cable box will need a cable box to work after Spectrum goes all digital this month. The cost is $6.95/mo. per cable box. We have 3 TVs that run off a direct cable connection.

    I couldn't understand how my digital TVs work now on the current digital Spectrum channels but won't in a couple of weeks. I called them and talked to a foreigner whom I could hardly understand. He didn't answer my questions to my satisfaction. 
    So....today I go to BestBuy and ask them if anything can be done. The guy there said to do this IF you have internet and a Spectrum cable box or DVR in your home:

    Buy a basic Roku streaming device at $29.99 for each TV you have that is not on a cable box now. Download the Spectrum app to each device and you can watch all the Spectrum channels you are paying for on your TV that has the cable box or DVR. In our case that's 125 channels. The Spectrum programming comes over the Internet just like Netflix, YouTube and other streaming programming does. The Roku turns every TV into a smart TV. At $30 for the one time purchase the Roku device will pay for itself in 4 1/2 months. There are different devices available but he said the entire Roku device lineup has the latest technology.

    I'm going to wait until after the Spectrum all digital system takes effect. If my non cable box TVs don't work then to BestBuy I will go. I'll probably try one Roku at first just to see if I like it.

    Adorama has sold camera gear for years.  I don't know about how they are now but people would purchase Nikon gear and Nikon would not honor any warranty since it was considered "gray market" merchandise.  That is gear bought overseas and shipped to them here in the US for resale.  I was a member of Nikon Professional Services (one day turn around on repairs for those that shot every day) and they wouldn't touch anything gray market.  Soooooo, it might be wise to...  Well, you know what I'm saying I think.  Speakers are a bit different though...  😎

    Wellll, where you going camping helps a LOT...  You camping or whining?  Get a couple decent cots, bags if you're going to need them (Eddie Bauer works great for me...  -20 down on SALE for me a few years ago.  Best investment I ever made!  They always have cheaper ones on sale... Coleman btry pop up lantern, a nice cooler and have at it!  I usually take my buddies kids (19-24 and naturally each brings a friend) and head to a Natl Park somewhere.  Some have showers and some don't...  Improvise at that watering hole. Wear your shorts and take that big coffee mug w/you.  Leave your shorts on and have at it!   Laptops/AC/showers?  Ha!   Have fun and just go for it.  Couple years ago we hit Utah for 2 weeks...  Told the boys we needed 10 cases of water at Wallyworld in Grand Junction, Colo...  Last stop for cheap water.  They laffed...  I bought 4 cases and yuppers it was the youngest's turn to buy a case @ Zion Natl Park...  $9.95 for a case of Dasani...  Best laff of the trip!  You're campin w/a milion other campers...  Ya stink!  Have fun!   :)

    Ok, Saintsfan lemme toss this at you before you start tearing into things...  Yes, I'm just ANOTHER crazy new OLD guy here.  I switched from Infinity Reference Standard 2.5's over to Klipsch recently.  I began in the late 70's with Infinity because I got ALL of my gear at cost.  That is the ONLY reason I didn't own Klipsch La Scala's then.  Both were about the same price so ya take the "deal."   Today the Emim mid-ranges are $500 each and made specially for the cabinets in New Zealand.  You just can't find parts anymore so I came HOME to Klipsch not knowing what to really expect today.  Sure they've made changes to things but design-wise nothing much was ever changed from the original design. (Be gentle guys!)  I found a pair of 81 raw birch La Scala's that became a gut job as far as parts go.  New networks, spkers, etc...  Recently, I picked up a pair of VERY nice 1981 Heresy's.  I didn't know if they even played but the lady I purchased them from said they did.  Her husband bought them new and passed away and I'm not even gonna tell you what she wanted for them but I gave her about $250 more than she was asking just to be honest and fair with her.  Came home, wired them up, took it a bit easy on them for a few days, then cut them loose so they could breathe a bit.  :)  NOW I know WHY these "whacko's" in here have about 4 different pair of speakers.  They are ALL incredible in their own way.  Love my La Scala's and found another love in my Heresy's, both 81 and sound wonderful.  Your ears and your friends are going to tell you how wonderful they sound...  Savor it man! These guys on this forum KNOW their schit when it comes to Klipsch.  Enjoy man and "Go Browns"?????  hahahaha..  They're pathetic!  :)

    SOMEtimes I just go with my gut and listen to HIM!  I found that out LONG ago...  Today was truly one of those days:   Almost 12k graduating from THEE OSU, yup 5 rows abreast coming in from both sides at the South end of the Horseshoe in Columbus, Ohio...  Marissa where are you??? "Just coming in the South end tunnel Dad" But WHERE? WHICH SIDE???  No reply... The ranks were breaking up and spreading out all over the North end of the stadium finding their seats.  Then a couple minutes later I look down the steps and BOOM!  She was as suprised as I was!  CONGRATULATIONS TO MY BUCKEYE!  You GO BUCKS girl!!!  DONE & EARNED! (Don't ask about the future... Last time I did she said she was flying to LA to talk about a job. I DO know she spent a couple days at Coachella! HAHAHA!!!)

    Have fun with the "easy part!"  Everytime  I plumb ANY thing I may as well start at the street!  Ahhhhh  NO!  Not me!  Yuck!  Call my oldest daughter and she accomplishes the mission and comes out from under the sink or wherever laffin at me!  WHICH reminds me...  :)
