  1. Interesting. I like the idea of O% VOC so I can apply it in my living room. However, since it's just coconut oil-based, does it really provide a permanent solution or it does it have to be reapplied after a time?
  2. No, it's not. However, I already have a Xilica XP-2040, a two-channel amp, and horn in hand. I will not be using the stock MF, HF, or crossover. I also have someone who offered to help me get it all working.
  3. It's actually not that yellowed in person. It definitely has yellowed some but it seems that phone camera color correction accentuates it. It was the same way in the pictures for the original eBay listing. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived.
  4. Heritage speaker are more than capable of producing accurate dialog. If they produce accurate and clear music vocals, it stands to reason they will produce accurate and clear dialog. I used a single Heresy center in one of my theater systems for a long time, first with Forte and the with KLF-30 L&R. It was an excellent center. Also, a center speaker in not just a dialog speaker. The center speaker can produce a large amount of any film's sound effects. This is where the importance of timbe matching, especially in the front stage, is importance. Sound pans across the front or sounds effect that span multiple front speakers will highlight timbre mismatches.
  5. The Belle Klipsch center was delivered on Wednesday. Now just waiting for Parts Express to get the Axi2050 back in stock so that I can turn it into (dare I type it? 🙂) a "JuBelle". The cabinet and grills are in very good shape. However, the lacquer has seen better days in spots. I may get a quote on refinishing it. I also thought about trying Howard's Restor-A-Finish on it. Any opinions on that product and whether it will work on lacquer that looks like this? Thanks.
  6. They are incredible. It's hard to describe them without it just sounding like a string of superlatives.
  7. Sorry @Khornukopia. Just assumed it was you replying. @Schu - Where did you get those connectors?
  8. Thanks. I saw the driver side connectors on my Jubilee. 🙂 Just didn't know if I had to make a cable. Any recommendations on connectors? The ones in your picture look high quality. Where did you get those?
  9. Does the Axi2050 come with a connecting cable? If so, what type of connectors are on the far end?
  10. Luckily, my ex and I are still friends. We just decided we couldn't stand living with each other anymore. 🙂
  11. The final Jubilee puzzle – What to do with the boxes? I didn’t have a place at my house for them unless I wanted them to occupy a bedroom or unless I threw out a bunch of stuff in the garage. Luckily, my ex-wife graciously offered to let me store them in the huge basement in her house. So, they made the trip (well, two trips) today in a pickup rented from Lowes. They now sit next to the boxes for the Forte originally owned by my ex-wife’s father that are now in her living room. Caesar the cat is unsure about this incursion into his empire. 😊
  12. Yes, you started out just asking for THD measurements. However, during the course of this thread you've made inaccurate statements about the Jubilee in a somewhat insulting fashion like they were fact, you called a Klipsch Chief Engineer who learned his craft from Paul Klipsch a liar and implied he's "hiding" things, bandied around that the thing you requested is some kind of "standard" without citation, and generally acted like arrogant adolescent who sure he's the expert on the topic. Not a great start for a new guy who might want help or information from the people here.
  13. They explained during the video that during the first part that they would be listening to copyrighted material and viewers would not hear the music during that time.
  14. Are you sure you have found blueprints for the Heritage Jubilee on the net and not the older one? I wasn't aware of any plans for the new ones yet.
  15. That patent is for the original horn-loaded vented system. Roy mentioned in a recent post that the patent specific to the new Jubilee bass bin just issued. I don't have a link for it. However, you seem pretty certain about a horn you have never seen or heard.
  16. Do you really think that a person who's been in the industry as long as Roy has doesn't already know that? And apparently, you've never worked as engineer for a company that manufactures consumer products as I have. Then you might understand why most engineering data is internal and proprietary. When you publicly release performance data it can sometimes be considered a form guarantee during lawsuits. There is little benefit to releasing more information than what you are prepared to guarantee about your product. They are not necessarily "hiding" the data to fool anybody. It's not strange at all.
  17. Sure, he's going to divulge Klipsch engineering data to satisfy some person on the internet. You're welcome to go find a pair and listen or measure for yourself.
  18. Who do you think designed the 2nd gen Jubilee and worked with Paul Klipsch to design the first gen? The man whom with you've been arguing.
  19. So, you're suggesting that Roy lied to me and a room full of first gen Jubilee owners in-person about this? Well, my ears tell me he was telling the truth. We heard the first production prototypes in the Klipsch lab listening room in Hope with both Roy's demo tracks and our own music selections. You can read about it here: Now there is a pair sitting in my living room. These are the lowest distortion speakers I've ever heard. Roy patented the horn-loaded vented system. Read it for yourself:
  20. Please don't make claims about which you know nothing. The bass horn flair was changed from a 40Hz to a 20 Hz flair and the bass bin was redesigned to accommodate the horn-loaded vented system. This system Roy invented and pioneered in the Klipsch cinema subwoofers like the KPT-1802. This is not simply the same bass bin with some boost applied to it.
  21. @Camplo - I'm guessing you haven't been on the Forum long. You are arguing with the engineer who designed the latest Jubilee, the latest revisions to the entire Heritage line, and most of their cinema products.
  22. The spec sheet for the Heritage Jubilee is linked at the bottom of the product page. https://www.klipsch.com/products/jubilee-floorstanding-speaker
  23. Which Jubilee are you discussing? I thought you said you were interested in the "2nd gen Jubilee", which I interpret to be the new Heritage line Jubilee. The specs for that speaker state: FREQUENCY RESPONSE (+1.75 dB/- 3 dB) 18Hz – 20kHz. No one would call it bass shy.
  24. I thought about having a similar looking baffle for the ZXPC horn made. (Not going to do that myself. I have zero woodworking skills.) I wonder if there would be acoustic issues rear mounting that horn the way the K-402 is on the Jubilee or if it should be flush mounted on the front. I wonder if Klipsch would sell that salt and pepper grill cloth or if I can find it elsewhere.
