  1. Hello every body, Few words about the "DENON DVD 2200" from a frenchy guy. I just buy the "Denon 2200" one month ago. It's my first DVD player, and the sound is so good that the next day i put my CD player "Rega planet 2000" on Ebay...With my "Cornwalls I", the sound is more full body and coherent that you feel like the music is in your room. When i bought it, i just hope it would be as good as my "Rega", but no, it was better... this player surprise me Compare to my "Rega planet 2000" the sound is more: 3D imaging Full (in the high, medium and low) pure coherent What i don't like: The highs seem to cut off a little bit, but i don't care because it sound so right for me... I can't say a lot about the "PQ" because i can't use the "RVB and Componement" out, just Svideo, but what i can say is that on my TV Philips 32" the picture is very pure, colours are rich, with a lot of details, but not exagerated and that's why people say the picture of the "Denon's" are film like... In one word: it's one of my very best purchase... Regards, Fred, My systeme: Denon DVD 2200 Denon PMA 2000 (an integrated SS amp that completly compete with my Eico HF-81?!) H/K 430 receiver (for 90, it's an extraordinary integrated/tuner!) LP Rega planar 3 with a Denon DL-103(not completely happy for what i expected from vinyl...is it my cartbridge or my phono input in the Denon PMA 2000 that is wrong? i don't know...)
  2. thank you! that's what i heard too... Any other differences?
  3. Hello every body! I am french and i want a pair of K-77 alnico but i have the oportunity to buy a pair of T-35 electro voice tweeters , i know they are alnico but are they exactly the same???. I have "Cornwalls" with K-77-M,K-55-V, K-33-E and the type B crossover and would like to experiment the K-77 alnico with my "Eico HF 81" integrated... Thank you in advance! Freud,
  4. Why don't you put a big piece ot steel or aluminium between the TV and the "CORNWALL"? It look more simple...
  5. ShapeShifter, My "cornwalls I" are from 1981 and the K-52-H look like the K-57...(magnet)
  6. ShapeShifter, I changed my K-52-H with the K-55-V and the mids are little less compressed now... I did the same crossover upgrade with my "CORWALLS" and i prefer the "type B" crossover over the "type B3". the sound is more natural with a "little" more bases and a more natural highs. maybe the highs roll-off a bit... Mopar dave, The hiqhs and mids are from the "HERESY"?! I hope you don't forget to change the K700 horn with the K600 horn that are from the "CORNWALLS"... Have a good day every one! PS: sorry for my bad english.
  7. dbflash, Could you tell me the difference in quality sound between the "heart CD6000" and the "rega planet 2000". I have the "rega planet 2000" and I think that something is missing, maybe some more body... I was thinking for an other CD player and the original "Rega planet" as well as the "Heart CD6000" was on my top list... System: KLIPSCH Cornwall I(83) DENON PMA-2000R (int amp) REGA Planet 2000
  8. Sorry Jim, i forgot to thank you. You've been very helpful.
  9. Here is a picture of the inside of one of my "83" CORNWALL with the K-77-M/K-52-H/K-33-E and with type B3 crossover...
  10. Jim Thank you for your comments, your experience is very helpful in my situation. Can you explain me what was wrong when you heard them together(Type B3 crossover+K-55-V) the sound was not coherent enough?...
  11. I buy the type B crossover because i like their simplicity, and think, like other ones in this forum, that simpler is better. About the K-55-V there is no risk to dammage them with the "type B3" crossover? they are compatible?... Thank you the help.
  12. Hofy, If you take a look at "AVSFORUM.COM" you will see that the "PANASONIC RP82" and the "PHILIPS DVD-963SA" seem to be the best bang for the buck. And for more expensive, you have the "DENON DVD 1600" wich is very good particularly in the audio department...
  13. Tom Thank you for the advices, But i have already the type B crossover That i buy on "ebay" in germany. So, if i understand well, i can't put the K-55-V with the "type B3" crossover that is already in my "CORNWALL"...I would like to do that because i want to go step by step in my upgrades...
  14. Hello every body, I am french and i purchase a pair of KLIPSCH CORNWALL I from a guy who live near Paris and i feel so happy to have them because these speakers cannot be found in this country(France). I was looking for two years on "ebay" and what a surprise when i saw a pair of "cornwall" pricing in uros! I click on them and saw that they where located at only 30 minutes by car from my home!!! and fortunately i succed to be the best bidder just at the limit time...Ouf! Other frenches wanted them!... Ok,i love the "CORNWALLS"! it's my first heritage speakers and i'm amazed at how good it is for such old tecnology compared to the new "reference" line!...Older is better!. I have some "klipsch RF3II" but this "Cornwalls" sound better. Soundstage is almost the same but it's a "little" more bigger, precise, robust, transparent and have a "little" more body...But in general, I have to admit that the "RF3" have the same kind of sound than the "CORNWALL", and they are not so bad for a 2 way speakers! But these littles things that are missing in the "Reference" line, the "Héritage" line have them... My Klipsch "Cornwall" have the type B3 crossover with K-77-M / K-52-H(?) and K-33-E. Serial number are 35 Y 077 / 35 Y 076 and they are from 1983. I Will replace the crossovers and the mediums speakers(K-52-H) with some type B crossover and K-55-V speakers that i have already in stock! and see how different they sound...maybe better...maybe not... But i want to do first is just putting the K-55-V with the type B3 crossover. Is that possible? Can they work together? And I will try to put some photos...if i can... Have a good day every body!

  17. I take it! guy landau, I am getting crazy! first i thought i could buy your "ALK crossover" thinking it was for "CORNWALLS", but no..., and now you sell your "EICO HF 81" in 220V?! and i am living in France! I was looking to buy one in the USA but if you have the european version i said yes! Have you some more fotos?... I am waiting for your response! Best regards, Freud,
  18. The "DENON DVD 1600" is one of the best choice for audio/picture quality for its price and it is chorma-bug free... and it's a DVD Audio, then you can take a look at the "PANASONIC RP 91" or a "TOSHIBA SD 5800" maybe the best bang for the buck(realy cheap!) it have all: Progressive scan, DVD A, HDCD, MP3, DVD R... Sorry for the prices, but i don't know them in USA because i am in Europe... Regards, Freud,
  19. guy landau, You are right, yours "ALK" crossovers can't be used in the "CORNWALLS", and thank you for the advices about inductors and capacitors for type "B" crosover, i will think about it... Thank you again! Freud,
  20. guy landau, I live in Paris, and i am building my "CORNWALLS", So, i need a crossover for them(like "ALK" or type "B" crossover). If you want i can buy them!... Some body with a pair of "K-33-E" woofers??? Best regards, Freud,
  21. I realy love the sound of my "RF3" with my "DENON PMA 2000". Before that, i had an "Audio-Research D200"(Modified) with a "NAD C160"(pre), but i really prefer the "DENON", the sound is more full and more pure. Regards, Freud,
