  2. I should have started with welcome to the forum!

That appears to be a Klipsch pro model...I am sure others will chime in regarding value.

I will post your photos from above for easier viewing by forum members...

  3. According to the "KLIPSCH HERITAGE REFERENCE DATA - (V.3 - 23 Aug 2013)" found here on the forum:

"July 29, 1955 was the last day for the four digit serials (i.e. 1811).
After that the "number- letter-serial" system went into effect (2
August 1955). The first "number-letter-serial" speaker was
produced on the 2nd of August 1955; that serial number was
    1A812."

Despite this I continue to see documented Klipschorns delivered after that date with four letter serial numbers (including my #1251 manufactured in 1957 and the subject of the last thread; #1751 delivered March 29, 1963 )

Maybe just the singles (both xx51...curious...) continued with the 4 digit serial numbers?  When was the last four digit khorn built?

    Any thoughts?

  4. Depends on the drivers you have in them/intend to use... & please post pics (this forum loves pics)!

As a starting point  here's a later 1957  Klipsch upgrade document that shows the K-1000/6/5000 network that likely came with them originally and the needed update if you switch the University 4401 tweeter to the Electro Voice T-35 (16 ohm version) upgrade.

Also attached is a pic of an original crossover network and a new one built from scratch.

I am sure other, more knowledgeable members will chime in.

Also,  I  suggest you edit your topic title to reflect the Shorthorn, as they are different than the khorn or cornwall networks (and so others can search by keyword in title) .

Please keep us posted on your project!
