  1. Hello all! Looking for a new home for the best little center channel I’ve tried so far. By little I mean it only has eight inch woofers! The previous owner, who is a common forum poster, installed a brand new Crites crossover and put in Crites titanium tweeters. Most of you are in the know that this is a preferred center to heritage and neo-heritage speakers and can be hard to find, especially in great condition. I’m hoping someone here is in need. $300 is the forum price. In a week I will post on CL and such. Located in Chicago, excellent condition. I also have a single Klipsch kl-650L with some scuffs that I have posted online already but would give a price break to forum members. Thanks! David
  2. Next center I’m plugging in, KL-650-THX. We will see how it blends with forte iiis. I have no clue if it will play well. Anyone with experience?
  3. It’s always good to stop at Chipotle to listen to some tunes!
  4. If you decided on towers, and are near Chicago, I have brand new in the box RF-82iis that could maybe use a new home.
  5. Thanks Andrew! Rock out the office!
  6. Any forum members at $400? Going to drop to $500 online today.
  7. Not sure how to link to OfferUp, but on offer up in Chicago. Not affiliated.
  8. Thanks Chris! We can’t all be living the 5 chorus ii dream. David
  9. Thanks! My new question is about dispersion from the horn loaded drivers. Their axis, standing straight, is very obvious. Does it change being laid on the side?
  10. I love the post! So much great information. It brings up so many questions and or solutions. We are all in many boats, some dingys some sea-rays. To address lobbing. I personally have never experienced it, or more likely, I am too ignorant to notice it. Yet klipsch makes 10s or 100s of thousands of center channels already that have this inherent flaw. With the prices the RC-64iiis go for you would think this problem is solved. Alas, maybe a sideways oriented heresy iii? I’m such a noob but I feel like the horn dispersion of a regular H3 on its side might be off if they are meant to stand up? They changed this before with the sideways version of Cornwall’s. I cannot comment on khorns, la scalla, nor belle, as I own none nor can fit them in my current abode.
  11. Seeing that this topic has 6000 views in a week you’d think there is enough interest in a heritage center channel for one to be made.
  12. Long weekend..... Road trip!?!? just think of it. LAX to ORD. Rent a convertible. Stop here and grab speakers. Then historic Route 66 all the way home. Nothing like spending a couple thousand dollars on a couple hundreds worth of speakers!
  13. Thanks Emile! I hope it seems like a good deal. Maybe I’ll be get klipsch karma for future purchases!
  14. Ah. I did not put a price. They are online right now for $599. I had some tire kickers offering $500 but nothing firm. I was thinking $450 would be a good forum price. On Friday or Saturday, if I still have them, I’ll drop them to $500-$550 on CL.
  15. Hello all! It looks like my black quartets were linked in the alerts section so I might as well post Them here too. Crites ti tweeters. I have originals too. PM me for more pictures or about forum pricing. Thanks! $450. Edit: Could also be used in a trade in part for a single heresy iii, or pairs of others Heresy. Also interested in newer 3 or 5 channel amps for home theater. David.
  16. Wow! These are actually mine on CL. If anyone is interested PM me and let’s see if we could put together special forum pricing. Thanks. david
  17. Damn! I’m local and I hate seeing your amp on CL. But whoa to all of us with this addiction and not the timely cash flow...
  18. Klipsch, please take my money!
  19. It would be a shame to hide those beautiful boxes!
  20. I wish I could fit another forte! I want to pull the trigger on a Cornwall but if it doesn’t work well on its side I’d be stuck with an orphan single speaker.
  21. I currently have an Academy with Crites tweeters and replacement crossover, thanks @314carpenter! A great, not little, speaker that blended with my heresy ii and quartets. I recently plugged in a pair of Forte iiis in place of the quartets and, alas, the academy still sounds good, but this addiction runs deep and I wonder what would be even better. In a perfect world I would love to use another forte for a matching L/C/R or, even better, there was an updated three way horn loaded klipsch center channel. My basement has low ceilings so the forte is out and a new klipsch center is a unicorn. That brings me to the original klipsch center channels, the heresy and Cornwall. Does anyone have experience using a single Heresy III as a center for the Forte III ? The other option would be a Cornwall on it’s side. Would it being on its side throw of the dispersion patterns of the horns and would it play well with the fortes? The front ports make it easier to integrate into the room. Thanks for reading and sharing your knowledge!
  22. Hello George! what is your location? thanks David
