  1. Hi Jim, Know this won't/ doesn't affect many, but I believe the THX Ultra-2 spec puts more emphysis on the rears (7.1)If it becomes popular(?) the tendancy for the rear speaker(s) to be drowned out will disappear. Dan
  2. Shapeshifter, nice call on my handle(it's my toy waiting for restoration in garage). Can't afford any additions to my system- still modifying HT room, took everything out last week to texture/paint and update electical. Real happy with my sub, when its' going big it rocks you to the core.
  3. Shapeshifter, I have an Infinity IL120 sub, along with RF7s,RC7 and RS7s for 5.1. It's HT setup but I use mostly for stereo/listening (small 32" Sony).Sub dialed in w/RABOS.Reciever setup using modified/advanced settings which are mode specific.Have a 14' x 24' room with 8' ceiling. Sub on opposite wall from mains. Can crank it way up,neighbors 200'+ .Still playing with setup, its' been running for 3 months so settings and placement of furniture, speakers still being adjusted.
  4. Sy, I've run my RF-7's with bi-wire- now using monster M2.2 Have an Elite 47tx, make sure yoour fronts are set to big. With my speaker placement I get best low end with my mains 2 1/2 ft from back wall. Seems speaker placement has way more influence on bass than any wire and moving them around is much more cost effective!
  5. For Steve re:mounting rear RC-7. I'm using a Peerles T.V. wall mount for mine(in front). It's a wall mount, size medium. Looks good, swivels, tilts =/- 10 deg.Cost about $70 at homedepot. Will hold 100 lbs. My HT about same dimension as yours- but my T.V. is on small wall. Think a 60 inch set from your viewing position might be too much.
  6. May I suggest going to neighborhood home improvement center and purchasing an inexpensive digital multimeter, got mine for $21. Take reading of your household current, then take a reading while the lights dim. This will provide you with some solid information to make decissions with!
  7. Gods' speed Justin.Been enjoying your input.Know it's got to be scary...let your faith provide you strength.
