  1. Alright, any of you who have seen Jackass the movie would know what I am talking about. The opening song when they are on the shopping cart, it's some sort of vocal song, but I do not know the name of it, anyone care to help me out?

  2. Ok, to start off (this might seem to be a rant to some of you people) I will tell you about all of my speaker upgrades. My first speakers came with my computer, rellly bad, never even used them for music. Then when I got my second computer, I got some multimedia harman kardons, they were pretty nice, i blew them out becuase i had the bass set too high. Then I "borrowed" a mini system from my dad to use for my computer, it was pretty nice, then I upgraded to a bigger mini system and the bass was crazy! Then when my dad wanted his second system back, I got a sherwood reciever (really cheap) and two bose bookshelf speakers (yea yeah, I know, they suck) and that wasn't really an upgrade, and I became more interested in audio, so in June I got the Promedia 5.1 system, it was completely amazing, I could not get over how nice it sounded compared to all of my other systems. Now I still have the reciever/bose combo, and I want to upgrade it. I was thinking about adding a ksw-15 (nice for my proce range), but even then, I think I will not have enough bass. With each upgrade, I am amazed with it for a few months, then I want MORE, I just can't have enough bass. So, does this happen with any of you? Or is it a disease?!

  3. Ok, well in school, I am doing this project on ballads, and I have to choose a song with a ballad in it, well I chose Black Dog. I need to know if this song is too inappropriate? The lyrics don't seem too bad but still, I am still questioning, "watch your honey drip, can't keep away" and "Tell me won't you you do me now." Could you interpret that?! lol

  4. ok, thanks for the replies but I got one mroe question, lets take for example the frequency response of the rf-7's it's 32Hz-20kHz±3dB , now I know that it gets down to 32 hz, up the 20 khz etc, but what does the ±3dB mean?

Also if there is no real way to tell how low bass is based on specs, I assume there is no accurate wayt o tell how loud the bass gets?

  5. Ok if you are out there, well I went on to amazon and there are 44 Jimi Hendrix cd's, I usually just download my music (sorry if that offends anyone) but I really want to get some of his compilations. I want to get like a full set of his cd's, but I don't know which ones to get! If you could help that would be great, or if you just wanna talk about possibly the best muscician of his time, then post on...

  6. Ok, I am new to the audio world so keep that in mind. Now to the subject, I have one of those bookshelf systems form philips (you know, the kind that comes with 2 speakers, and a center unit/reciever). Well its got plenty bass I would say, its a 3 way speaker. Now on comparison, I have a bose bookshelf speaker (yes I know how bad bose is, I got these a while ago) yet they have no bass. They are 2 way (supposedly a tweeter and woofer) yet they have very little bass compared to the philips system. So my question is, how can I tell if a speaker has bass just by looking at specs?

  7. I had a set of 201 bose speakers before I was enlightened by my promedias. The 201's are definately not the best bose speakers you can buy (if there is such a thing) but I am going to tell you about the low quality of these speaks.

The sound was so flat, not dynamic at all I hated them. My old philips mini-system was much better, great mid ranges and clear highs. I could say nothing good about these speakers. "No lows, no highs, must be bose" that is so true. As a 14 year old, I am no audiophile but I could tell the difference between my $200 bose, and my $400 klipsch. Go with klipsch it is worth it.
