    Mug Shots

If I didn't wear my sarong, would you recognize me? I am not of photographic interest to me. Someone else might have a pic.
  2. I only buy a couple lbs at a time... It sits on the shelf until it goes in the grinder. Locally roasted [two blocks away], so it is pretty fresh.
  3. Scanning thru the channel guide... Lift Your Saggy Boobs sounded like it might be an interesting game show... but NOOOOOOO. an infomercial like Brazilian Butt Lift
  4. Mornin' all Another beauty of a day. Won't say "crisp", but it is cool this AM. Put my robe on. Had to work thru 2 cups of old/cold coffee to get to fresh. Had an impromptu visit from wife's sister, niece and great nice [grand?] yesterday They brought food. I played chef while they visited.Had to deal with skinless boneless chicken breasts. I hate those things. Sooo dry. Popped them in the kettle grill. Still came out dry. Think the only way they might come moist is to stew them... They brought spaghetti and Alfredo sauce, too. SIL was funny. She brought a bag of "salad mix" [chopped lettuce]. Got an attitude about me not using it. I opted for cuke/onion salad. She took 3 or 4 helping and packed the leftover dressing in a jar to take home. I guess she liked it. Sorry for the folks impacted by Hanna. Doesn't look horrible bad.... I can say that. I'm not wading through it. Appears the storm is gonna break up over the SierraMadre. Still think we could see wet from it. HI getting a storm seems early... I dunno. I was blissfully ignorant when I was there. That can happen when you work 60hr/week. My life was bowling alley, bed and beach. I do recall it being windy and rainy for a couple days at a time...
  5. just be careful with the lime in the coconut
  6. Kinda sorta like Wink. I liked squirt over wink. Am always surprised to see it in a store. My dad bought me 3 cases of qts for my birthday one year. My goin' fishin' breakfast used to be SuzyQs and a Squirt chaser. Eat/drink on the way to the lake We have been able to to get non-HFCS soft drinks all along. Mexico doesn't use it. We would burn thru a lot on Mexican Coke and Pepsi ... when we could get it in the store here. It's not syrupy
  7. he had me at Squirt one soft drink I really like. I don't care what it has in it
  8. There are folks [immediately] in town that have chickens. We can get duck eggs if we want to drive 10 miles. This place had coops and all the things to raise chickens/eggs. Fallen into disrepair long before we bought. I have entertained thought of resurrecting them.
  9. last year, they were cancelling flights to/from Phoenix because of a thin air thing due to heat https://www.tripsavvy.com/planes-at-phoenix-sky-harbor-airport-2682513
  10. Fresh eggs are $3/doz here. Won't say, they aren't worth... Hard to compete with the "factories" where price is concerned. We're still enjoying our nice midwestern days. Summers are sorta like the rest of the country...w/o the tornadic t-storms
  11. Oh Well... one of the unsung heros
  12. I miss my garden. I used to grow heirloom corn, beans, tomatoes. Cilantro, basil, parsley, cukes, melons...snap peas are one of my favorite things to grow.... since we moved to the top of the hill.... no soil. I've been trying to generate some, but may give in and have some topsoil trucked in.
  13. what's the matter, Steve? Your shoes melt to the jetway? about 3000ft difference in elevation between there and here. Phoenix is central to lot of recreation, tho. Like living in Lihue, Kauai. Nothing immediately there... close to everything, if a 45minute drive isn't too much.
  14. be glad it wasn't river rock. Anything much bigger than pea gravel needs to be moved w/o the benefit of a shovel.
  15. I haven't been out for many years. I would have to drive 60 mile to get to a decent place.
  16. I was in Australia The eggs had orange , not yellow, yolks. When I do bust loose to eat out, I expect it to cost $30/plate at a sit down restaurant. -... not including a bottle of wine or... When I was in the salvage yard, I snagged a half dozen of the part for the washing machine. Free , my favorite price There were a few machines that were easy...
  17. eating it isn't a problem. Not getting sick might be a trick. I got some funny looks when I ordered a 2nd plate of EggsBenedict.... even more when I ate it all. Waitress asked if she could get me anything else... "Yes, a large glass of OJ and another cup of coffee"
  18. I can't relax and eat out. Keep thinking about what I could be eating at home. So what if I have to clean the kitchen. Surf and turf comes to mind when I cash out at McD's After mellowing overnight... the chili is still pretty warm. Doesn't seem spicy until you're halfway thru the bowl. My mouth was zinging for a half hour after eating some for breakfast.... no sour cream on it.
  19. Cheap? I was living on $1200/mo before I got married. Paying $450/mo rent. I was living on minimum wage.. Dad made it easy. While I was caregiving him, took me to meet all the people handling his $$$ and got rid of many things.
  20. Mine pretty much took care of everything. From court to running the appropriate notices and all. Saved me a ton of bs. All I had to do was write out the dispersement checks.
  21. $7K??? Mine was simple... no property and this was 10yr+ ago... was $1K I was working in a retirement community... asked a trusted [old guy] friend for recommendation.
  22. Do you have a lawyer? They make it much easier. Was worth the money when I was executor of my dad's estate. No court dates to worry...Settles contentious beneficiaries. Dad's gf was a pain [she hired a lawyer to make sure she got hers] and backed right down when she found I had someone handling it. Since she wanted to make stink, I sent her piece to her lawyer, to make sure I had a witness to her receiving her benefit. I really wanted to give her hers in cash... A truck load of pennies dropped in her front yard.
  23. We have to make an appt to get in the DMV . one nice thing. No waiting in line. Ya know how MLB is piping crowd noise in... why not take it a step further? Put cameras in every seat and assign a ticket holder holder to each camera. Get live feed and you have virtual attendance. Looks like we might get some of that storm in the gulf. We could get a bunch of rain from it and then it could scour out our monsoon weather pattern. Setting us up for more dry... Temps are right nice... highs [predicted] under 90` today. It still damp. No complaints.
