  1. Face Value is the debut solo studio album by English drummer, singer-songwriter and Genesis lead singer Phil Collins, released on 13 February 1981 by Virgin Records in the UK and Atlantic Records in the US and abroad. After his first wife filed for divorce in 1979, Collins began to write songs during a break in activity from Genesis with much of the material concerning his personal life. The album was recorded from mid-1980 to early 1981 with Collins and Hugh Padgham as producers. Additional musicians include the Phenix Horns, Alphonso Johnson, and Eric Clapton. Face Value was an instant commercial success and reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart for three weeks and No. 7 on the US Billboard 200. It has since sold over 5 million copies in the US and over 1.5 million in the UK. The album received widespread praise from critics. Its lead single "In the Air Tonight", released in January 1981, reached No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart and became known for its drum arrangement and use of gated reverb. In January 2016, Face Value was reissued with bonus tracks and new photography in the style of the original but featuring a present-day Collins. Spinning that with my Audio Technica AT7V , has a new original stylus as well !
  2. 52 F here, rain and clouds all over, my wife travelled with her school class to Hamburg for a week. It´s the Graduation trip. Got a lot of cable works this week , for some german hifi friends. Doesn´t end , if one bought a pair of speakercables, powercords or RCA cables , they recommend me to other hifi friends they have. So an neverending story. Doing that for 5 years now and every year I have an increase of private business. Nice pocket money 😂 But I invest that profit into my own gear . Need to order some raw materials now ....

    What We Hear

There is the objective acoustics , that is the physics ! The psychoacoustics is the hearing, it calculates! And the subjective acoustics takes place in our brain. There the emotions arise.

  7. I know that you own a Stanton 681 Triple E Version , that´s another reason why I catched it . So we got something in commen again ! The JICO stylus will come when it´s neccessary, not earlier . I got time . Think it´s done now with my cartridge collection , oooooorrrrrrr is there anything that you´ll recommend ; except the Decca´s....than I really need to install a thrid tonearm on my TT ..😂
  8. A second Floyd record is spinning right now, using the grado platinium wood pick up now , it´s better rockin than the goldring which is better for jazz and classical music. Pink Floyd´s " Annimals " 1977 / Columbia Records / Printed in UK
  9. Another classics under the Goldring G 900 SE MK II Needle... Pink Floyd´s " Dark Side of the Moon " 1973 / EMI Electrola Label / Printed in Germany btw. was my second record that I bought , the cover inlay contains to big poster as well . They´re still in and looking good

  11. I know ..I'm already quite loopy , there is something I ran across again today , it was like magic. When I was still active DJ we use Stanton cartridges , it was the model 680 EE , they sounded really good . Now I bought a Stanton 681 EEE from a collector , mint condition , not 20 hours of runtime . Since it plays optimally on light tonearms I can now use him on the SME Tonearm.

    What We Hear

There are 7 billion people living on this planet that is 14 billion ears . Each brain and each ear has its own genetic construction, so it is only logical that each person, as far as it deals with music, has an individual hearing sensation. If two people sit in a HiFi studio and listen to the same music, it does not mean that they perceive the same sounds or feel the same emotions.
  18. In view to the new Alan Parsons Project Album, will be lauchned in July this year , I´m spinning " I ROBOT " 1977 / Arista Label / Printed in Germany
