well i've never really head a klipsch speaker other than my promedia 2.1s
but i was at my friends house watching matrix, and he has some original hersey speakers, they sit flat, i dont know if thats the only difference between those and the newer ones buuuuuut
normally he controls the volume, but this time i got the remote. over the course of the movie i slowly raised the volume to get a sense of the dynamic range, and how they sounded at different lvls.
no matter how quiet they still seemed to fill the rather large room.
and at loud volumes, they were full and alive sounding, with shimmering highs. at the subway scene, when the train squeaked in, it sounded completely crisp and REAL. have that for the highs, i also noted the full and powerful lows of the speaker. explosions were felt at the higher volume, and i felt surrounded by sound, even though it was simply a 2.0 system with a medocre amp.
being a musician, i have a good ear when it comes to dynamics and frequencies, and i have to say i heard more come out of those speakers than i did in the theater.
how much do herseys go for?
