(Klipsch) dead-lack of highs, lack of midrange definition, muddy/boomy bass harsh-smiliar to bright, except with distorted or extreamly over pronouced highs that grate on the ears. -------------------------- i'm sure someone could fix up my list, and add some more of thier own
  2. Phase Technology just sounds a bit "Dogg Digital" to me... sure he didnt get them out of the back of a van? >=) although, if you do find any information on them, lemme know! I'd be interested to see if they were worth buying. in speaker shopping, its very important to consider all options. Never know which speaker will suit you better than the other. Speaking of this... just a side question... Anyone heard of Dunlavy speakers? my girlfriends dad has thier highest end speaker, but they seem to have gone out of buiseness, and i just wanted to see if anyone knew anything about them.
  3. please lighten up a little bit and try to be more pleasent. you seem to be coming down a bit harsh on some particular board members... no offense intended --James

  5. nah mkl, i havnt once felt that your posts have been insults, you have managed to deliver your viewpoints in such a manner that doesnt provoke a conflict, which is a good thing. perhaps some of the other "adults" here could learn from you.
  6. ---------------- Perhaps your father simply allowed you to believe whatever it is you wish to believe because it wasn't worth the effort of correcting your myopic understanding. Perhaps he thought it best to let you make whatever mistakes you did or will do because attempting to correct your jaded viewpoint of reality and/or reasoning was a pointless exercise in futility. I certainly can understand. ---------------- i do well in my school, play football, i'm in the concert band, AND play my guitar. i'll be taking the CISCO networking course next year, so by the end of high school i will be CCNA certified... you seem to be under the impression i'm some kind of total slacker druggie... but its not my fault if i have great musical potential... and if my parents tried to supress it, it would come out anyway. and being a musician isnt an excuse for poor reasoning, it just means we have a tendency to reason differently. lol and prodj, definetly dont wanna say f-u to your parents for requesting you to clean your room. generally i'm more talking about with your peers. the ability to refuse drugs, bad music, women which would not do you good... helping people when they need assistance, sticking up for "not cool" people.. etc. i do agree that people before us have been our age, but long ago enough that times and the way of life has changed, and for memory-loss to set in. when i look back on being a young young kid, all i can remember are the happy things that were in my life... i dont have very vivid memories of crying after a nightmare, or hurting mysef falling off something, etc. i imagine a similar thing would happen to these people.
  7. crash... you arent a musician right? we do things a little differently, and the true ones have absolutly no fear of challenging authority and "elders;" its the nature of art. until you get to know prodj well in real life, please refrain from these stupid judgements. i'm also terribly worried for your daughter, for if she is actually saying those things, you've raised her very poorly. children should be taught to educate those less intelligent than themselves instead of insulting them. NOOOOO WAIIIII I CANT SAY THAT!! haha silly me, your older than me thus you must be right!!! ah sometimes i forget. i can tell you now that telling people such as myself, or prodj that we will wind up playing on the streets will ensure our sucess. my my what a wonderful father you must be... mine never took time out of his day to attempt to crush teenagers' dreams. i sure wish mine had!
  8. lol... khorn vs. bo$e 901s.... ...*chuckle* you should be happily suprised, to say the least
  9. if that was directed at me... the only thing i took offense from was that MTV comment... i dont watch mtv... never have... ok i'm tired of being insulted and stereotyped... its annoying oh.. and hand your kids a copy of War and Peace... or the Bible, The Odyssey... The Iliad... see how interesting they'll find it. I bet it'll be awful boring to them! Well then i guess that means its mostly proof read by "gadgets," is bad literature, and written by stupid 9th graders eh? yea someones gonna wanna inform Homer in the afterlife that this snobs kids are smarter than him...

  11. ---------------- On 2/16/2003 12:03:46 AM minn_male42 wrote: hello????? i thought this was an audio forum about klipsch speakers..... if you wanna "suck" about something ...do it someplace else.... or maybe you can find a "vacuum cleaner forum".... how about you talk about speakers or music or something related or just stop posting????? what are you....14???? or ..are you gonna whine about the fact that best buy is now selling your favorite vacuum cleaner line??? and all your friends won't be impressed with your latest floor cleaning device??? russ ---------------- juding by your posts... your knew here. this is more of a forum for people of the same interests, and the "general topics" area tends to have nothing to do with speakers. dont whine... its annoying. how about if you dont like us going off topic... you find somewhere else. which reminds me... i need a new shop-vac. whenever it floods down here, things get interesting. that reminds me, back in the day... my very wealthy friends basement would flood a lot, so they'd take 4 shop vacs, put sub-pumps in them, and run them for a few hours to clear out the water... hehe
  12. *smacks prodj* your being snobby and stupid. you own some of the better loudspeakers out there... so what if you can buy them at best buy. think about how insane klipsch will sound next to the sony, KLH, etc... even "Retarded fred" would notice thusly theres a good chance klipsch will be able to make more money than they used to, because of the larger target market. not only would this allow for them to lower thier prices, but it would ALSO allow for more research/development and thusly coming out with better products. if for some reason ashamed to own klipsch now... cover them with some acousticly transparent fabric or something and enjoy them. sheesh...
  13. awww. ehhhh skiing is worth it though >=) i'm going back up to stratton during my feb vacation, two people i know have condos up there >=) i dont really care for the mountain... its boring/easy, but i'll have fun nonetheless
  14. --------------- But they better swallow... ---------------- quite frankly i'd be happy either way...
  15. get a cheap NAD amp or something used, i've seen NAD's in the bargin news for 50 dollars.... and some SB-3s or SB-2s... or even SB-1s i suppose would work well.
  16. well it costs klipsch money to use the packaging too ya know(albeit less)... i'd rather have a company that takes care in shipping thier products than one that doesnt
  17. lol who knows. i wouldnt leave my country dwelling for pretty much anything. i like my lifestyle fine thank you >=)
  18. or peter frampton- do you feel like i do... 14 minutes long >=)
  19. lol i spose it wouldnt be as funny to you guys as it would to someone who lives around here... but we live in a very rural area, we dont have sidewalks let alone blocks. but a lotta kids think they are ghetto... so its amusing to make fun of them. but yes... i'm sure it does impress the "pimps" around here... lol thats whats nice about this place though... the nieghbors are about 150 feet away from my house, so i cant really disturb them >=) although my mom has been worried i would when i was stress-testing my promedias one day *chuckle*
