Would "imitation" khorn speakers make you happy colterphoto1? Why would I try to make an exact copy if Id rather have the original but dont? I have an 1966 Ford Mustang coupe that is not worth restoring to original so why not make it what I want? Thanks for the help.

Hey speakerfritz, can I simply change the phase with the invert button (low) on the crossover or is that different all together? And the woofer issue.... are the specs that far off for me to be using the JBL compared to the Klipsch version? Cant check at this time myself. Thanks in advance

Hey Duke, how are the gains ballanced you ask? Im new to active crossovers, so they are set at Odb gain,I do have the mid and highs attenuated a couple of db. Is there a method on setting them? Thanks in advance

Hello all, Im finishing off some Khorn clones using the following parts: Beyma Cp-25 tweeters EV 1824M midrange (on wood tractix horn) JBL2225H (if I recall correctly) 8 ohms. I have done the 6" throat mod to the horns also. I am tri-amping them,as I do not have the passive crossovers yet and the items were on hand. To drive them Im using: Nikko 450 amp for lows Teac 700LP amp for mids ( to be replaced with a Dynaco ST70) Sonic Impact amp for highs ( to be replaced by Teac amp later) I am using a DBX 234 crossover ( I know.. not so good). My question is, the lows seem to be lacking punch? They dont seem tight and the volume is not what I expected, Being an 8ohm woofer does that matter in a active crossover setup? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

question about tweeter position with ALK Trachorn
Herc replied to Daddy Dee's topic in Technical/Restorations
Just thinking here, would it not make sense to have the tweeters on the insides? My reasoning is this,if some speakers have their motorboard slanted 6 degrees back on a vertical plane would it not be similiar to doing so on a horizontal plane. Thus the tweeters on the inside. Imagine some of the speakers where the mid is slightly back of the woofer and then the tweeter slightly back from the mid. Or is my thinking, of days gone by! Hope that makes sense? -
Can I get a straight up, true, no bs answer please?

Talk about impatient! Only let an hour go by before you complain about no answer? Chill!! -
FS: Teac A-L700P Tripath Amp (slightly modded)
Herc replied to meuge's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Im very interested, would you consider shipping to Canada? Thanks, Tony -
Heres what I do when dealing with bad ebay transactions and leaving feedback! Don't do anything until just before the 3 months you have available to post feedback are up and then on the last day or so post their negative feedback. You might not get a feedback in return, but at least they get their just reward!

Oh great and now I read Magicdicks comments on them not being worth it,or are they really? Might he be trying to discourage someone from going to check them out?
-
Hey Dale, if you dont end up taking them. I am near by and will gladly purchase them. I chatted with you a while back, as Im from Edmonton. Im still kicking myself for not picking up a set of Khorns for $600CDN But more likely, is you are picking them up!

Hey Tom, an RZ 350!! Oh man the memories.I'm not sure if the Kenny Roberts RZ350 was sans catalytic converter but the Canadian (no catalytic converter)RZ350 was faster then the US version.I owed a Canadian version RZ and was it ever fast, you will find your other bikes seem so slow in comparison. 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds!!!
