  1. OK, last call to the board, I am putting it on eBay.
  2. I am prepared to sell it for $520 + shipping. Anyone interested?
  3. I have purchased this thru a authorized dealer and paid premium, however, I was adviced that online these can be had for about $600. So basically I am taking the best offer that I can get
  4. Someone should pick these babies up! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3052159901&category=3275
  5. Noone needs a RSW-10?
  6. Due to unfortunate times, I am forced to sell my subwoofer - RSW-10 - and I am giving the chance first to the board before posting on eBay. It is in like-new-mint-condition, cosmetically and sonically. Will ship in original box. Make me an offer, I will consider all reasonalble offers! I will also be selling some of my DVDs, but I will post a separate topic on that.
  7. Have you tried using a better S-Video cable? Just for the heck of it, try it out.
  8. I am with garymd, my Sony STR-DA5ES blasts away for movies.
  9. I have the Yamaha DVD C6480 and am very pleased with it for video, CD, and DVD-A playback.
  10. With RF-35 you better get the RSW-10 or RSW-12. The KSW line is good for movies, but it is boomy for music,
  11. can u post the website where you got it from?
  12. You know what -- I looked at the specs and manual of the H/K PA 4000 myself. Looking at the back pannel, I don't see how I can input multiple channels. Can anyone throw some light on this?
  13. What are all these knobs or switches on the speakers?
  14. Why? You already have a Sony, don't repeat the same mistake twice! Now, I have a Sony too and I hate my choice back when I bought it. It may be a fine receiver, has 2 multi channel inputs, but the amplification is piss-poor. My next upgrade (deffinitely this Christmas) will be a separate amplifier, either B&K or H/K. I think in your case you will mostly benefit from a separate amp. Look into some used H/K, PA4000 for example is $899 MSRP, so I am guessing it can be found for about $600.
  15. To me the RF-5 are not worth the money, since the only difference from the RF-3 are the larger cabinet and larger horn. The drivers are the same as in RF-3. So if you are thinking about saving some money, get the RF-3 II or the RF-35.
  16. David Gilmour of Pink Floyd is 82 -- now this sucks. David Gilmour for me is an excellent guitarist and should be high in the list, his custom unique guitar sound and solos, especially in "Comfortably Numb" from "The Wall", are sooo good.

    Speaker Help

I am with marksdad, my couch is also against the wall, and I am only running 5.1 currently, 6.1 not worth it.
  18. marksdad, I have always wondered who Mark is ? Is he on the forum?
  19. Look at my post "Screws loose" at home theater forum. I had the sub for a year.
  20. I set my RF-3IIs to large, and that is how they sound best.
  21. I have the RC-3II and it is right below the TV -- no problems. THe RC-25 should be similar. However, no speaker is 100% shielded, it is possible to get some magnetic interference.

    Screws loose

I purchased all speakers from Good Guys, an authorized dealer.
  23. I opened my RC-3II just to see inside... While unscrewing the screws, they were kinda loose, very easy to unscrew. Decided to check all other speakers. Same thing on all of them, especially on the RSW-10, I could easily with no effort tighten the screws at least 2-3 turns. So I am thinking - were they not tightened originally, or the vibrations of the sub did this?
