About time I cut things loose a bit today. Been a couple busy weeks here in Duckburg. The shoppin is done and most have their gifts already with the exception of my grandaughter. I'm taking her on a shopping trip after Christmas where she gets to pick out her own clothes. It should be interesting to say the least. Naturally I'm gonna work her to the max so her mother doesn't kill me. She'd blow through a couple hundred in a heartbeat buying junk. The life of a 12 year old. lol It's time and gonna get crazy here but I've got so much to unzip. Piles everywhere thanks to a few in here and stuff I decided I wanted to check out. Outta the blocks with Tyler Hubbard and his first solo lp after runnin with Florida Georgia Line or what ever they're called. The more you listen to it the more I enjoy it. The dude can write AND put it together in such a way it just drew me closer to the entire package. Some good stuff even if you don't like country. Glad you're finally into the new home. It all finally came together! Now the work begins and it ain't gonna be simple to pull off but you'll get 'er done! A female Aussie friend turned me on to Tal long, long ago. I told a local friend who was great on bass about her and he couldn't get enough of her. That had to be 25 years ago or more. She was like a 16 year old kid back then but never stopped playing. Asked permission from her parents to move to the US to learn more and she's learned from the best in the business. 2007 was post divorce and I needed outta Ohio so I called a friend and asked about something or ANYthing to do. She said Crossroads was happening in Chicago and next thing I knew I had all area credentials for the entire place. Yup, slept in a semi-trailer and spent a lot of time sittin on hard road cases watching it all happen and winkin at some old friends. Beck was Beck back in the day. The biggest whiner you'd ever wanna meet BUT he was so darn good and then I heard Tal was w/him? One of her first big gigs and she totally nailed it. Jeff was giddy as all get out when they were done but we all knew goin in that she was gonna kill it. Kill it she did. Nailed the coffin shut to boot. She's herself in her lyrics and when she plays it's the same way. She's busted her rear getting where she is today. That's one lil girl I'll always admire. She goes so deep it's scary when she starts. Don't think that will ever change with her. Classy AND sassy! lol

Many feel that SEC bias was a factor in Florida State being left out of the College Football Playoff following an undefeated season, and at least one coach from the conference is unhappy with the snub. Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz discussed the College Football Playoff controversy during a Thursday appearance on SiriusXM’s College Sports Radio. Drinkwitz said he finds it absurd that a quarterback injury was the justification for excluding Florida State from the four-team field. Two sides to every coin applies here! lol Here is what has bothered me since the beginning of the Playoff system. ESPN is nothing more than a media outlet. Just like CBS, NBC, ABC and others. WHY is ESPN even allowed in anything to do with the committee's decisions? They always have had their nose stuck in there. The dude that started ESPN went to school where? Bama, Ga or somewhere down there and vowed early on there would always be a one of that conferences teams in the playoffs. How ya think they got as big as they are today? Any other conferences that wanted prime time exposure HAD to crawl on board w/ESPN. That's the crux of the problem as I and many others in sports news see it. The NCAA has made some attempts to change it up but nothing to speak of has happened. ESPN is just another news outlet why should they rule the world? That's ALWAYS held true. Prove me wrong.

Got an update a while ago. I've been in the house that it flooded years ago. The owner owned the Duckburg lumber company here. The entire basemen was panelled w/4" knotty pine, had a nice bar with a fire place down there too. Guess the water was coming out of the basement windows. I mean it's not funny but... Was a state of the art ranch style surrounded w/a few nice trees back in the day. They'll be back here tomorrow and I'm gonna be gone all day soooooo. 😂
