  1. Sale pending. Thank you for the interest and comments.
  2. Wonderful pair Klipsch RS7's. They have been in an air conditioned home and never over driven. You will notfind a nicer pair outside of being new than these. I also have the original factory Klipsch boxes for safe shipping.$325 plus actual UPS ground shipping cost. Includes paypal fees. Check my 100% feedback for peace of mind. Audiogon: AW118 Ebay: ARW118
  3. Thank you for the excellent suggestions. I have not run the Audyssey yet and will try it. I am going to add ceiling speakers for an Atmos setup. I'll report back after trying the Atmos.
  4. I purchased a used RC-64ii through Ebay to replace my RC-7 which has been great but wanted an upgrade. I notice the RC-64ii is a bit harsh with certain voices and tones. Some things sound great and others harsh. The RC-7 stays smooth when playing the same material or passages. The is a bit more clarity with the RC-64ii. I am using a Denon avr-x4300 as a preamp through a Sherbourn 7/2100. With the Denon's EQ and tone control I adjusted the frequencies to sound it's best. It still sounds harsh and hard on the ears. Is there a test I can do to see if there is something wrong with a driver or xover in the speaker? I am a big Klipsch fan and have Lascala 2's in my 2 channel system with tubes. HT Main speakers RB75s with RS7s as surrounds. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.
  5. The Lascala II's are the black finish. I'll work on photo's this week. I have a busy week ahead.
  6. I converted my Lascala II's with the Volti Audio horns, drivers and crossovers. I am checking to see if there is any interest for purchase the replaced components The crossovers have upgraded caps from Parts Express. I would include the original caps that were in there originally. They would not be hard to put back in if you are handy with a soldering Iron. Not sure what to ask $ but they are all in mint condition. I am located in Cape Coral, Florida and welcome pickup. Ad Updated: 2/18/2014 - I will post more photo's this weekend. Better Pics of the speakers with the Volti Upgrade. The one posted was taken a while back while doing the upgrade. The horns themselves removed from the Lascala II's will be posted them. They are packed up and I need to get them from storage. Sorry for the quality of the pics. I don't have the best lighting setup. I thought I may save the drivers and crossovers if I sold the speakers. The upgraded Volti Horn speakers sound great and I don't think they will be going anywhere for many years and should stay in the cabinets. Thanks, Alan
  7. I am currently using 300b monoblocks on my Lascala II's and they sound great. Starting with 45 monoblocks, which I liked alot it was missing the fuller sound I personally prefer from a 300B. The midrange is wonderful on the 300B's with much more authority in the bass than the 45's. Either sounds great, but to my tastes the 300b's have the edge.
  8. Has anyone heard the KL-650's to compare with the Reference speakers? I currently have the RB75's w/ RC7 and wondering if it's worth the upgrade. Thanks
  9. Thanks for the link for SPL calculation. That is a cool website. It looks like 55 wpc x 7 will be fine. I am going to give the gainclone a try. I'll post thoughts after I get it in the system.
  10. I have an oportunity to purchase a 55 watt x 7 custom built gainclone amp for my Home Theater. I do like the smooth, musical sound of the Gainclone amps. In my HT system I have RB75 fronts + subs, RC7 Center and RS7 Surrounds. Will the 55 watts be enough? I have Lascala IIs for my 2 channel system with a 2 watt 45 tube amp powering them, but the newer design Reference series seem to be different in the driver design. Will the 55 wpc handle the dynamic peaks in the movies. Any thoughts would really be appreciated.
  11. I have RB75s for mains with subs and RC7 center. I purchased another pair of RB75s for surrounds and with the weight want to be sure of a strong bracket and have to angle them down. Are there any brackets anyone can recommend to hang safely. Can the RB75s be screwed directly into the back without pulling out? Thanks
  12. I have been enjoying the Welborne DRD 45 amps driving Lascala II's. The sound level from 2 watts is amazing. I also have a First Watt F3 clone, which sounds great in it's own way. There is something special about the 45 tube that is truly addictive and just sounds right tonally.
  13. Is there a post or website with a list of the parts and source to purchase from? Thanks
