  2. I should of known better when it took the guy over 4 days to respond. "Hi RIGGED, Sorry for the delay but I been working a lot. My address is below and I will send you the shipping charges today via e-mail. This is my first time shipping something. You will definitely hear from me today. Thank you" Ah ha! I can't believe I missed it, the guy has never shipped before. I'm sending him an email now in the hope we can resolve this matter. Oh, one more thing, he has only 1 feedback. lol RIGGED

  4. It said winner is responsible for shipping/handling charges so I guess I'm screwed. There has to be some kind of limit as to how much a seller can charge. I mean, they can't charge $1,000 for shipping on a radar detector right? Has anyone else had this kind of problem before? RIGGED
  5. I'm in a quagmire of sorts. Can a seller charge whatever he wants for shipping fees? I purchased a pair of speakers 3 months ago and the shipping/handling(Ohio) fees were $24. Now, I'm being billed for $67(Massachusetts)for the same speakers! Am I at the seller's mercy? RIGGED
  6. Thanks TBrennen, I'm off to bid. I think their SPL is the same as the Heresy at 114. I would also prefer to have the Heresy but my budget won't allow that at this time. RIGGED
  7. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3081142457&category=14993 Has anyone heard these speakers before? Do they rock? How much are they worth? Thanks RIGGED
  8. For some odd reason M&K didn't feel the need to put a power on switch on the sub. They recommend that the sub be plugged in at all times. I guess I could just unhook the RCA cable from the sub output on my receiver.
  9. It's a very deep thump which I find very annoying. It really befuddles me as to why there is no power button.
  10. Will do, thanks Lynn! RIGGED
  11. I own a M&K Mark 75 II subwoofer which makes an aweful thumping noise when powered on or off. I've read the manual and it recommends that I leave it plugged in 24hrs a day. The thing is, I only use my sub for movies, which only happens once or twice a month. Should I leave it plugged in or will this thumping cause permanent damage. Thanks, RIGGED

    Two Subs

Does anyone out there have two subs in their setup? Does it make that much of an impact? Where is the best place to put them? Corners? Thanks RIGGED
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3060366894&indexURL=1&photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohosting Notice how the midrange and tweeter appear vertical instead horizontal. Was this a common practice for the older type of speakers? Does it improve the sound any? Thanks, RIGGED
  17. Thanks fellas----Have a great weekend! RIGGED
  18. What brand of horned speakers are shown in Jerry's apartment? Klipsch perhaps? Thanks, RIGGED
  19. The receiver in question is the Pioneer VSX-D509S. It turns out that he was listening to music for about 1hr straight before it powered off. I removed all speaker wires and unplugged the unit....However...this did not remedy the problem. The unit didn't "smoke" to his knowledge. You can actually still hear the click made when the amp section is engaged. Now he is left wondering if it would be cheaper just to buy another one (used) as opposed to fixing it. What do ya'll think? RIGGED
  20. My uncle has a Pioneer receiver that refuses to stay on. 5 seconds after the power button is pressed....a message appears saying "Powering Off".....what gives? RIGGED
  21. What will fry your amp quicker? A. Connecting speaker wire wrong...neg to positive. B. Playing only one channel for an extended amount of time. What are the dangers...if any? Thanks RIGGED
  22. My beauties that are black have 4 inches of rear clearance from wall to woofer. The rock of sheet just doesn't reverberate as well if I move them any farther... Forte IIs Yamaha 870 Carver TFM 35X Velodyne CT-100
  23. Thanks for your input Easy Listener. I actually like the way the look...lol. Rigged
