Any or how many newly baptized? We had 16 newly baptized and an additional 10 or so confirmed.

    HAPPY EASTER.

Waffle House? cuz it's the only place open?

I think we had one baptism, one conditional baptism, with six total coming into the Church.

And yes, WH is about the only thing open at that time of night.

Well, the nearest WH to the church is up in Boone.
Being that it’s a college town(AppState) there were a bunch of bars still open but that wasn’t what the kids were interested in.

  2. We made it up to the Easter Vigil last night.

The weather was pleasant and it made for one of the warmest Easter services we’ve had in a few years.IMG_2552.thumb.jpeg.e7b6ec2f726891fa939226d8bb9705a3.jpeg

Afterwards, as is tradition, we went to Waffle House.IMG_2558.thumb.jpeg.401939b1b9f2458a95bea292a272e970.jpeg

    Happy Easter everyone!

There will probably be a driver or software setting that will make it so.  I doubt every/any digital stream running through the computer is supplied to any usb port all the time.

Windows 10 and newer should automatically recognize a USB DAC as an available audio output.

Once you have it selected as your output device, all sound will be played through it.

  4. I’m running three Aiyima AO7 class D amps on my LaScalas and they sound great.

Although I did replace the op amps with some TI LM4562.

    The AO7 usually cost around $70 online.FCE5BD10-BAE4-4D83-90BC-18F168C366E5.jpeg.b05c4c5f25542cef596b3f6cba8e3384.jpeg

I also have the previously mentioned Crown XLS 1002 and it sounds nice with my KP-250s.

    How much do those weigh?

I’m not sure exactly as my accurate(to one 10th of a gram) pocket scale maxes out at one kilogram.

The bathroom scale puts them around 8.5 lbs for the burgundy mist Strat and closer to 7 lbs for the black one.

The fretless jazz bass is around 10 or so.

That looks like a very unique double necked Strat. 🤣

My back wouldn’t like that at all.

My favorite Strat is the black one up front. It's got a thinner alder body from a Squier affinity series Strat and a neck from a Korean made Squier II.

It also has an old set of Fender Custom Shop Texas Special pickups that were in the other Strat when I bought it.

OK, good.  That's plausible, but since lots (most?) Inductors are custom wound, wouldn't changing the diameter or wire gauge be a better solution?

This came up while studying for my amateur General license and I just can't see giving up circuit real estate for 2 parallel inductors.

It also increases the assembly time when you double up on components which would drive the manufacturing cost cost up.

Is this a DIY project or the new upcoming lascala?

The all black one is the “New La Scala” that the Chief demonstrated this past week.

@gigantic pics are of his DIY project.

It’s kind of amusing because there were a few people(not the Chief) that told us that the original LS design didn’t need to be improved upon and we were basically silly for going to a 2” mid driver with a larger format mid horn, and running it tri-amped with a DSP crossover.

Also noticed that a least the front and back panels are plywood, not mdf as I thought they were.

I might have been tempted to keep them if I had known they were plywood.

    I kid.

I always thought they sounded pretty great and looked much better than my college party special H1’s.

I admit to not watching it all.

    1. Did he ever show the board he's using to enable/disable HF LF on those speakers? & show what's enabled when he does the playback?

    2. Did he show what is inside those Heresy where the wires are going to the crossover addition?

    3. Didn't see either of the above & stopped playback. Doesn't pass the test for me

& did you read that I KNOW more wattage can improve H, M or L Frequencies?

I actually bi-wire my F-3s & have taken a lot of flack here over that :P "So What!" It means 60w to each woofer, 60w to each HF instead of 80 w per channel !

I believe firmly in one of Lou Reed's songs that has the line in it "Believe half of what you see, None of what you hear" (think that was his friend George) He was a skeptical New Yorker, I just grew more that way over the years!

It looks like the stock white leads from the woofer run out the back of the cab, and I believe he basically says that in the video.

There is nothing in any of the McIntosh equipment he is using that would allow him to set a crossover point to 700Hz to roll off the excess highs from the woofer.

I’m pretty sure he’s running the woofers full range out of his home theater receiver.

    I think it’s a bunch of nonsense.

and I say this as somebody that is actively tri-amping their La Scalas.

  11. The only active crossover settings in the MHT100 are for the subwoofer line output which is only adjustable from 80-140Hz.

There is no powered sub output on the MHT100 so he must have the woofer hooked up to one of the main speaker outputs.

In one of his other videos he says he is using the external sub input on the MHT100.

This makes me think he’s just running his woofers in mono with the bass level cranked up.

I wish they would Willie!  They aren't going to do the cystoscope and grappling hook either, they want me to and say I can pass it. Well they need to quit with this tramadol that painkiller stinks. I'd rather have Bayer aspirin.

    Oh my goodness.

I hope that it passes quickly.

Either naturally, or via assisted means.

  13. I’ve been busy with work lately.

We are moving our office down in AVL and I’ve also had to make some trips down to our Sylva office.

on the audio front I’ve been tweaking my DSP settings on the LSLO (LaScala Like Objects).

    IMG_2339.png.5bb1f1789477b3d4a9738b0147eb8a66.png

Still some obvious work to do on the phase response but it’s sounding better than ever as I get the phase and frequency response leveled out.
