  1. I absolutely love my JVC XV-FA90 7 disc changer...It is progressive scan and also has DVD-Audio and MP3 capability. Only two very minor complaints: 1) Changer is a little noisy, but hey I got 7 discs ready at all time for demo's and I can't here anything but my movies and music anyway!! 2) No cursor on face of unit (north, south, east, west, enter) you have to use the remote for scrolling through menu's.....very minor. I bought mine at www.onecall.com, their service, prices and warranty are the best I have found. I paid $341 delivered in December, 2001. Prices are under $300 now for this unit I believe. ------------------
  2. Anyone in FL interested in splitting a pair with me?? I will pay for the speaker plus shipping of a single to Metro-Detroit. ------------------
  3. J- Any pricing for those KLF-10's each or by pair??? I am looking for a single KLF-10 Center to modify into a center channel. If anyone in Florida or otherwise and can get a single for me or wants to buy and split a pair of KLF-10's or 20's please let me know. bloomis914@aol.com ------------------
  4. For the record it was the Kain64 vs. Forest battle that was disturbing to me. ------------------
  5. Uh-oh!!!!! Welcome back, I'm surprised it took you this long! Let's just try and keep it a little cleaner for everyone's enjoyment. Now this should be interesting. Hold on everyone!!! ------------------
  6. Audioflynn- I actually have two (2) KLF-C7's...One is in my everyday HT/Music system on the main floor of my home and it consists of KLF-30's, KLF-C7 and KSP-S6's, Toshiba DVD and 35" Mitsubishi and powered using a Marantz SR8000. Then I have my dedicated HT/DVD-Audio Room/Theater in the basement, it includes Chorus II's, KLF-C7, KSP-S6's, KSW-15 sub in front and KSW-100 sub in rear. I am using an SE-13HD LCD projector on a 106" Da-Lite high contrast screen and all leather stadium seating for six....I need to add one more C7 for my rear center in my basement Theater to complete my DTS-ES setup.....See my link below for detailed photos of my basement theater. 7. Shapeshifter (Wes)-- Good to see some other local Detroiter's stepping up to support Flason and hopefully improve our cities image further. Great idea about Channel 7's CFA team.....Also, don't forget Fox 2's Hall of Shame.....Between these two investigataive news teams they make 60 minutes look like child's play.... Wes is right, this guy will NOT want this type of attention if he lives in the Metro-Detroit Area....Worth a shot. Dead Horses Head.....Hmmmmm....Excellent idea Wes...Watch for private message so we can do some work together.... BTW, Wes gets 4 stars as a BB/Forum trader. As he and I made a mutually good deal locally last summer...I love my Chorus II's and C7!! Take Care Wes. Brett ------------------ This message has been edited by BLOOMIS914 on 06-06-2002 at 08:38 PM
  8. Excellent responses by all, I do agree that we, the majority, can police this board by constructive "pressure". I feel much better now.... Seb, check out my new signature line!! I can dish it out and take it too!!!!! Now I just need to add a link for my equipment page to share my Klipsch collection. Thanks. Justin, don't be defensive, immaturity transcends all age groups....If I read the entire thread properly noone singled out younger folks, in fact I like reading your posts.....All 7,000 of them!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now back to our regularly scheduled forum..... ------------------
  9. For the record, I was only having fun with this. But this guy deserves a "talking to" if you know what I mean. 10. As a diehard Klipsch fan, I have become very disappointed at the tolerance/patience/latitude being given to the multiple threads on this BB/forum that involve personal attacks on each other. Understanding that a good joke or lighthearted fun is healthy for all, threads dedicated to slamming/flaming each other are way over the line. I challenge the webmaster to immediately ban those few members directly involved, not the casual onlookers. If this is what the Klipsch board is going to become then loyal Klipsch fans, such as myself will bail.......I know, so what you say, but I am surely not alone........ I am a big fan of our constitution and our rights (especially the 1st amendment) and I believe in the basic principles....BUT I am not a left-wing liberal, drape myself in the flag and criticize my country while burning the flag type of guy.....I'm more of the Rush Limbaugh right wing conservative....better yet, compassionate conservative like our President George W. Bush. I am extremely intolerant of three things: 1) Adults (I think) behaving like ignorant fools. and 2) Tolerance for the above. and 3) Klipsch just ignoring this nonsense and "locking the threads".....talk about burying your head in the sand...WAKE UP Klipsch!! If you tolerate ignorance and just allow the 1%ers' to run the boards, that's exactly the caliber of subject matter we will all have to deal with. On the other hand, my proposal is, one warning and the 2nd time you are gone. If it doesn't change you can count me out and I'll stick with the AVSFORUM and the HTFORUM where that crap doesn't fly for a minute. Of course, this is just my opinion and your intelligent remarks/responses are welcome. ------------------ My system(s): Great Room--- KLF-30's Bi-wired KLF-C7 KSP-S6's Monster cable 14 gauge in-wall cable Audioquest interconnects Niles SPS-4 speaker switch box Niles wall plates Niles in-wall volume controls Marantz SR-8000 Toshiba SD-4205 5 DVD changer Pioneer PDF-1007 301-CD changer Mitsubishi 35" TV Mitsubishi VCR Pioneer VSX-608 Multi-room amp for Outdoor deck Polk All-weather AW2's deck speakers Panamax DBS-8 Surge Protector Master Bath--- Klipsch IC-525's in Master Bath 13" Sony Wega in Master Bath Niles Wall volume control in M/Bath Basement HT----- SE-13HD LCD Projector Da-Lite 52" x 92" High contrast screen Chorus II Mains KLF-C7 Center KSP-S6 Surrounds KSW-15 Front sub KSW-100 Rear sub Pioneer VSX-810 DD/DTS-ES receiver JVC-XV-FA90BK 7 Disc progressive DVD Panamax MAX1000 Surge protector/line conditoner Comcast Digital Cable Philips S-VHS VR-1010 1 Lava Lamp for Ambience Fridge full of beer and plenty of Don Julio, Jagermeister and Jim Beam This message has been edited by BLOOMIS914 on 06-05-2002 at 09:36 PM
  11. Flason- I have a few ideas #1 Go back to 7-11 and ask to see a blank M.O., I believe they all expire within 60 or 90 days if not cashed. Not that the cashing clerk would have the common sense to catch this here in MI, but worth checking for peace of mind. This is assuming he did not cash it. Did he admit to cashing it?? Not a good sign if he did. #2 I live in MI (Michigan) and would charge a reasonable 40% recovery fee for the amount to be recovered. For example, if the MO is for $1,000, I charge $400 and you get $600 back....This is reasonable based on some local organized crime and inner city gang rates here in Detroit...;-) This is all assuming this person cashed your MO and is trying to blow you off. The authorities won't do anything unless you have some PROOF. I act on mutual trust and a love of Klipsch!! #3 I live in metro-Detroit and would be willing to "contact" this individual for you and "motivate" him to return your money (minus my fee). This could be a true win-win for you and I, (of course, one person would be very unhappy). If he cashed it and ignores you, then blast his name and address all over the internet until you get your money. This may bring about certain liability risks regarding slander and libel. Contact your attorney for legal advice here. If I were you just let him know you have loyal friends/family in Detroit that were concerned about this "potential problem" and that you hope that if the money order is unreturned that he writes a check or money order before a certain date. Hopefully, this will "deter" any game playing on his part. Fear is a very strong motivator for people who behave like this. I am not an attorney (but have many friends who are though) and I would promise to be very pleasant in my initial delivery/introduction to him. I am 6' 4" and 235 pounds and play hockey regularly but am not quite as quick as I used to be. 14. .....And on this day, let it be known to all that I mandated DTS-ES as the new standard by which all new DVD's, receivers, processors and movies shall be manufactured and encoded. My vote goes for DTS! Come sit in my theater with my DTS demo discs and tell me what I'm missing?? For the love of HT, can't we just settle on DTS-ES and DD-EX??? Serves Lucas right for his elitist, self-serving, non-DVD sharing, keeping the Star Wars triology to himself greedy man mentality. I really must have the grilles on due to the fact I have small children that would love touching the Woofs I'm sure....What ends up happening with the Klipsch logo on the bottom of the grille? Can it be relocated to the bottom/middle once converted? I have put new grille cloth on my Chorus II's so that part is not a big deal. No need for bucking magnets/shielding as I am using with my Front Projector (SE-13HD & 106" screen) see link below for pics. 22. Deam- Do everyone a favor here and get lost.....Go crap in the www.lonelydorks.com forum. If you are not interested in the bumper stickers or think they cost too much then A) Don't buy them or Step up and have them made with your cash and then give them away for free or C) Keep your piehole shut if you can't make a positive contribution. I noticed in your profile that you work for Exxon....I thought they laid off all of their full serve gas station attendants? I hope this isn't offensive but I can't stand negative BB'ers.
