  2. I showed Bogey, so I better show Mulligan.
  3. Paulparrot, your dog Jasmine looks quite a bit like my dog Bogey.
  4. Dean, How much do you charge for this upgrade? Thanks, Mark
  5. I have the same situation. Both Monster and Panamax make surge protectors to handle this situation. They have sub specific ones: http://www.panamax.com/products/productpage.asp?sname=m2sub'>http://www.panamax.com/products/productpage.asp?sname=m2sub http://www.monstercable.com/power/productPagePower.asp?pin=1218 I figured that since my receiver was already protected, I didn't need the sub cable protection, so I bought this one below. Using froogle, I found it for about $23. http://www.panamax.com/products/productpage.asp?sname=m2
  6. I emailed Sherbourn with some questions and they said that the 7/1250 should be available late April or early May.
  7. Good point Griffinator. I forgot that the 7/1250 wasn't out yet. What is that expected to be available?
  8. I'm interested in people's opinion of the Outlaw 100x7 versus the Sherbourn 120x7.
  9. Griffinator, I sent you a PM. Thanks, Mark
  10. I have the upgrade bug again. It's been 2 months since I upgraded something . I am current running a Denon AVR-2803 (90 WPC x 7) for a 6.1 setup. My speakers are RF7 mains, RC7 front center, RS3II surrounds and a RC3II rear center. My sub is a SVS 20-39 PC+. My "room" is 17x19 with the back opening into the rest of the basement. I am interested in getting into a separate amp. I am considering the following options. Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated. For this discussion, let's set a maximum dollar amount of $2000. I would definetly like to be well below that amount though. Opt 1: Add an Outlaw 7100 (7x100) amplifier and use the Denon AVR as a pre/pro. I like this option as it gets me into an amp without breaking the bank. My main concern is the power although it is probably plenty considering the speakers that are being used. Opt 2: Add an Outlaw 755 (5x200) amplifier and use the Denon AVR as a pre/pro AND to power the rear center channel speaker. This gets me more power without spending too much. The 5 channel amp would cover all music listening. Outlaw makes a mono 200W amp that I could add on at some time. Opt 3: Add an Outlaw 770 (7x200) amplifier and use the Denon AVR as a pre/pro. Opt 4: Replace the Denon AVR2803 with the soon to be released Denon AVR3805 (7x120). In addition to more power and better electronics the new receiver features an auto room EQ that interests me. This would actually be the least expensive option because I could still get decent money for the used 2803.
  11. I was very happy with my Denon AVR-1602 and am very happy with my newer AVR-2803. I have no experience with the Yamaha receivers but have read that some people think are too bright when paired with Klipsch.
  12. SVS sells subwoofer cables from Better Cables. Better Cables are fairly expensive but SVS offers a really nice discount with their subs. When I was buying my SVS, I asked the SVS tech guy if I should replace my Acoustic Research (modestly priced) cable with one of the Better Cables. He told me that the AR cable was just fine. I appreciated the honesty and felt comfortable with the AR cable.
  13. I received my SVS in less than a week. I would guess sub should arrive in this time frame since it is not a brand new model. I'm sure you will be very happy with SVS. They do respond very quickly to email. I'm sure that you will need the truck to haul it. I was actually very disappointed in the bass in U-571 (very good movie though). Maybe I expected too much. I don't know if it's your taste, but Finding Nemo has awesome bass. Wait until Daria taps on the aquarium. I just saw Terminator 3 the other night. Fun movie and a good workout for the sub. Hope you get it soon.
  14. Couldn't you have found a TV that fit that entertainment center better?
  15. Hopefully the wall unit will allow enough room the RF-35s rear ports.
  16. According to the Denon site, the DVD-2900 weighs 17.6 lbs and retails for $999. The DVD-2200 weighs 10.4 lbs and retails for $629.
  17. I am real happy with my AVR-2803. I wanted the 3803. About the time I was going to order the 3803, I found a great deal on my RF-7s and RC-7. After that, I had to go with the 2803. I noticed the other day that Ecost had factory refurb 2803s for a good price.
  18. Avman, Sorry to hear of your loss. I have two dogs that I can't imagine not having around. I also have two older cats. One of the cats has diabetes. I know his time is limited. I get sad just reading about others who lose their pets.
  19. Original post has been updated.
  20. A pic of the rear and side of the HT.
  21. Thought I would post some pics of my HT that I took last night while photographing my RF-3 IIs for ebay.
  22. aakbari, I sent you a private message. Thanks, Mark
  23. bri4065, I have sent you a Private Message. Thanks, Mark
  24. Update. These are still available. I am waiting on a couple of PM replies. They will probably go on ebay Monday night if I haven't found a buyer. I thought I would offer these up here before putting them on Ebay this weekend. I have a pair of RF-3 IIs in brand new condition for sale. I used them for four months before taking the big step and buying a pair of RF-7s. I am hoping to sell to someone who can pick them up to avoid the hassle and risk of shipping. I do have the original boxes though, so shipping is a possibility. I live in northeast Indiana. I am asking $500 for the pair of speakers.
  25. Avman, I will probably be getting a new TV in the next few months. It will probably be a RPTV, but the HS-10 has gotten my attention recently. One question that I have is how much does one need to spend to get a good screen? Also, my impression (from reading) is that the FPTVs are awesome for DVDs but not as good for sources such as satellite. Should I stay away from FPTVs if satellite is the majority of my viewing?
