  1. I am going to have to road trip it up there to hear this whole this whole thing..................................
  2. Any chance you can get a half dozen or so scantily clad young asian women over drinking Cosmos for the "Enter The Dragon" screening----- you know, just to liven the next set of pictures up a bit? Man, it sure looks good, wish I got to hear it with you tonight!
  3. Ahhhhhhh, me soooooo horny..........................beautiful pics!
  4. Congratulations, Kevin. Can I ask what type of venue you plan to put these into? Are they for commercial use? Just curious.
  5. Does he sell anything, or is he just trying to get every single piece of equipment Klipsch ever made? I'd be interested to see it all hooked together to "rock the house".
  6. Who is the manufacturer of the 15" and 18" drivers currently in stock at Klipsch for replacement in the Pro speakers? Specifically, I mean the 15" KP-48-EP Part #121534 and 18" KP-49-EP2 Part #121811
  7. I had Bob change the caps out in my '67 KHorns and noticed a big improvement. I didn't bother to ask what the readings were on the old caps, and not even sure he checked, but I did send the entire crossovers to him so he could fully test all components in the crossovers. I kind of expected to have him tell me something or another was wrong with my 40 year old crossovers and I ought to buy a nice pair of his new ones----but NOPE, he just replaced the caps, said they tested fine and shipped my vintage crossovers back to me. And I'd have bought his new crossovers without a whimper had he said I needed them. A good, honest man.
  8. Spend a short period of time checking through posts on this the forums here and you'll find Bob Crites is about as honest, skilled and knowledgeable as you're going to get for a reasonable price (or even a higher price). He'll either sell you the kits to build/rebuild crossovers yourself or give you drop in units. My dealing with Bob were A+ all the way. I'd also second his opinion on the AL crossovers not being Klipsch's best effort and would also suggest you consider replacing them. I know there are other people here who offer similar services, so no slights intended.
  9. Went with 4 amp for the bass bins, 3 amp for the LF in the satellites and 1.5 amp for the horns. And to second Bill Hendrix comments about the combo of the 302/3002 and 484/4000s with the optional crossover network in the 484/4000 bass bins-----these sound great!
  10. Cool info and much appreciated. As a long time Klipsch fan, I wish more of this type of info was available directly from Klipsch, and certainly applaud you taking the time to not only document this for us, but also you constantly taking the time to answer so many questions from those of us with questions and problems.
  11. Great info, thanks!!!! My upper cabinets have separate fuses for both drivers. I think I'll go with 3 amp fast blow all around and see how that works unless someone has a good reason to do otherwise. In looking at some of the fuse holders, there are some that have a small 4 marked on them, some with a small 5 and some with a small 7. Feel like a dumbass that I had them all out and didn't note which position they were in what cabinet before taking them all into the basement to look at them under good light with a magnifying glass. Better to blow a few fuses and work my way up. I like the cost of fuses!
  12. When I recently purchased my pair of 3002s and 4000 C2s, I was surprised that all of the fuses in the speakers were 20 amp slow blow, as the web data info on the KP 480s called for a 4 amp fuse----which seemed about right given my limited knowledge on fusing speakers. So my assumption was that the former owner replaced all the fuses with 20 amp as he might have blown a couple of the 4 amp ones and just threw in what he had laying around the house. Seems to me that by the time you blow a 20 amp fuse in even a heavy duty driver, you'd already have melted down the voice coil, so I had planned to replace all the fuses with 4 amp and check how that works---- and possibly work my way up to 5 and 6 amp if blowing fuses. Situation changes yesterday when my brand new KP-4000/KP-480 crossover networks arrive from Klipsch. Each one had a 20 amp fuse in it inserted at the factory. Is a 20 amp fuse really what is called for in these speakers?
  13. Bill, would you happen to have spec sheets on the 302's (3002s) by any chance? Like you, I also have th KP 4000 C2s and am amazed you can't find anything about them on the website. Are the KP4000s the same as the KP480s, just a new model number?
  14. Great buy for the money, I've owned a lot of their equipment over the years. You may want to check to see if it is the original GFA545 or the newer GFA545II. The second version is supposedly quite a bit improved. One cautionary note is that this older stuff usually costs more to fix than it is worth, so don't pay a lot. You kind of have to look at it as a disposable purchase unless you just blow a fuse or something.
  15. I would like advice on powering these bad boys up. The power listing for the 3002s is 500 watts, nothing listed on the 4002 C2s, but seems like I've seen them listed at 600 watts somewhere in the past. Since I am getting the "KP4000 network" that will send signal below 150 HZ to the subs and everything above to the satellites--- that allows use of one amp for subs and satellites. Wondering what two channel amp would be recommended to drive them fully without excess distortion. I know well the efficiency of Klipsch speakers, but this is my first experience with the Pro stuff, so am a novice in this area. Seems like QSC and Crown are two favorites, but certainly not stuck on those brands. Thanks in advance. Mike
  16. They are available. Part number 116413. They are described in the parts systems as simply "KP4000 Network", so not real obvious without some digging that it is indeed what Bill Hendrix and I were both looking for. 7 were available and I purchased 2, so 5 left for some lucky soul. Bill, thanks again, as well as to Steve Philips in Tech Support and Jeremy in Parts Dept.
  17. I just bought a pair of KP3002s and a pair of KP4000 C2s. Previous owner was a DJ and said that he ran the satellites and the subs with two separate amps. I have read here before that Klipsch had a factory option that allowed input of all power to the 3002s and then split off the low end to the subs, allowing you to use just one amp. Anyone familiar with this and could provide more details? I don't plan on using these for DJ purposes, just gonna set them out on the deck to let the neighbors all know that the meat is on the grill and the beer is flowing.............. Thanks, Mike
  18. It is a subwoofer control unit that has the same controls as the upper level paradigm subs, but makes adjustments much more convenient as you don't have to monkey around with the back of the sub. It has three main contols: phase adjustment, crossover frequency and a sub level control (volume)
