I seriously doubt your amp would go from a 7 to a 5 because of a few bubbles. How about a picture so's we can help.

question, what would be the best material to stuff these with. was just going to use some fiberglass insulation from a remodel but must have thrown it away so if i'm going to buy something may as well be optimum, Randy

The addition will be sealed both to the bottom of the bass bin and then the original bass bin cover will be installed to the bottom of the addition. Yes they get two 4 inch ports, I'll start them out at 10 inches long and work from there. I have the port tubes but ordered the wrong ones, I wanted the flared ones but got the straight ones, will be ordering the others soon. Until then I'll work with these. I believe the only difference would be in a decrease in port noise. Randy

I don't know if he is the same member but he is going to attemp redoing a Mac C-20 for me also.

Joe if you built a wooden or metal box and inverted it over your contraption you could hide your balls. Randy

Yaff, it is supposed to allow the speaker to go lower without losing the qualities of the lascala. Yes, the bottom is open and the ports go to the front. I read about this mod here on the forum. If you do a search you should be able to find some really good info on this mod. It can also be done just using the open area where the squawker and tweeter are. I am trying the bottom version because I think I'd like the upper horns at a higher level more like their cousin, the K-horn. Craig, I know! I've had the wood cut out for better than six months.
