  1. Please ignore my profile which says Mississippi. I actually live in Fresno (not much difference from MS). You got a deal. Merry Christmas.
  2. Iwillwalk I believe is also in this area. I might be able to go there next week or so.
  3. There are a few forum members in th Orlando area. Sire is one of them. MAybe one of these guys can pickthem up and you pay them for packing shipping. If I were there I'd do it. The most you would risk this way is $175. Plus use postal money order, i believe this could be construed as mail fraud.
  4. I did read that a forum member won chorus II's on ebay for $175 (hope that's not a scam) and now sb-1s' for $500? Truly the world has gone mad. Dogs and cats living together......
  5. Last week someone had a like new pair of KG 4.5 starting at $900, now this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14991&item=5739381753&rd=1 The 4.5's got no bids will these?
  6. I have the HTS-3600 and am very happy with it. Definitely better picture from my Hitachi 53" tv.
  7. The 2.2v is video shielded to prevent crt distortion that magnets cause on a regular tv screen. Projection tv's aren't affeted by magnets being close.
  8. Wife is getting her new pillowtop mattress. Kids are getting trampoline, legos, pretty much what was on their list. All I want for christmas is some black Forte II's to match my black Academy center and replace my OO Quartets. I would consider Chorus II's as well. Don't have to be black. If they were oak or walnut and in poor finish, then I could paint them black and not feel guilty. I just cant bring myself to paint these oak Quartets. I'll probably sell/trade them. Any help, leads would be appreciated. Merry Christmas
  9. I would take a rough set of Forte II's in any finish. I'll have to paint them black to match my other speakers anyway. I'll even use my oak Quartets as partial trade.
  10. All still available as robertl has changed his mind, as well as his post!
  11. Getting kg 3.2's for less than $300 should not be a problem. Finding the desired condition and finish might be a problem. I owned a pair of 3.2's and really liked them. Great sound from a small package. Another good bookshelf option might be the kg2. They are smaller and less expensive than the 3.2's. Posting on this forum should turn up a few options, as well as *bay auctions. There is also audiogon.com. Also drop by a few of your local pawn shops I have gotten many great deals on speakers and electronics from pawn shops.
  12. I have the following items for sale here before I go the auction route. 1. Nakamichi Musicbank MB-4s 7 disc CD changer (minus remote) works great $100 shipped. (analog outputs) 2. Nakamichi black BX-2 cassette, 2 head, Dolby b,c plays ok, but has trouble rewinding. $30 shipped. 3. Magnavox cd player Modified by Euphonic Technology Model FD1040SL02 great shape, great sound. Very Heavy. Analog outputs. $40 shipped. I will post pictures later, or e-mail me jcflemn@yahoo.com
  13. All kg4 drivers I've seen are white poly. If these are black and paper, definitely replacements. Get the k-???-k model number off magnet. Someone here or at tech support can tell you what you have.
  14. I have a Toshiba DVD/VHS combo and have had no trouble playing any disc, CD or DVD with minor scratches. Paid $149.
  15. What finish? I'm 40 miles from Mobile and interested. Jon Fleming jcflemn@yahoo.com
  16. No reserve or Buy It Now. I guess I'll have to play sniper.
  17. My sub does wake up with Y splitter. Granted it is not a Klipsch or SVS, but I never heard that a splitter would affect the auto-on. I do notice better sound (more output) w/Y input. JMO
  18. This seller seems to think so. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=61378&item=5737910062&rd=1
  19. Use a single sub cable out from receiver. Use a Y to split that into both sub (r & l) inputs. This is the setup I use and I would imagine most on this forum do as well.
  20. Here's the link to the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5736102968&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
