Selling THREE Klipsch Heresy HIP speakers for $700. Located in Fairfax, VA. These were purchased from a small college that was renovating its auditorium. One pair has consecutive serial numbers; the third speaker was also part of a consecutive serial pair ordered at the same time by the college. I used these in our 5.1 HT system along with Cornwall mains, but we no longer have the space in our new home. K-77 horn tweeter K-55 midrange driver on K-700 horn K-42-E woofer with seriously heavy magnet These HIP speakers were custom-ordered ordered with Klipsch's 7-ply Baltic Birch cabinets and fitted with heavy-duty grill cloth. The cabinets were stained by the college (poorly), and have plenty of nicks and scratches but are fully intact.

https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/ele/d/pittsburgh-klipsch-heresy-hip-stands-amp/7322111412.html Klipsch Heresy HIP speakers from 1980. All drivers & crossover are original. Work and sound fantastic. Could use a paint job. Anthony Audio speaker stands. I had these stands made specifically for these speakers. They are very heavy duty and cost me $250 a few years back. I hate to part with these since Anthony has since passed away but I need the space. Rane MA6 multi channel Amp. This amp is a beast! choose between 6 150W channels or 3 300W channels bridged. Some of the speaker terminals on the back have become striped, so I added banana style jacks for easy hook up. I can throw in my home made cables if desired. Ashly LX308 Stereo Line Mixer. Consider this thrown in at no extra cost. It works fine but the knobs need to be replaced. Ashly still has them in stock if you need them. 2 Klipsch K42 Woofers. These woofers work great and were taken out of a pair of Klipsch KSM floor monitors. I kept these around in case I ever needed to replace a woofer in my Heresys since they uses the same drivers. $650 / Pickup in Pittsburgh https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/ele/d/pittsburgh-klipsch-heresy-hip-stands-amp/7322111412.html

These look nice...$550. Bremerton, WA https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/ele/d/gig-harbor-klipsch-heresy-hip-speakers/7101948263.html "Klipsch Heresy HIP speakers. Pro style cabinets, are stock orig cabinets and drivers. Electro Voice woofer. New Crites HEI crossover built to stock parameters. I have caps that can be used to attenuate the mid and tweeter if so desired (the HIP heresy runs them hot on purpose)"

Pair of Heresy HIP $400 for the pair. I can ship if applicable. Serial numbers 3671, 3672 HIE Crossover with Crites components K-42-EV - to spec K-55-V - to spec K-77-M (both need new diaphragm) All case components are there and intact. Normal signs of wear and use on the wood. Basically, this is a rebuild thats been sitting a couple years and I figure there are others who would enjoy these more than me.

No affiliation. They look nice and that's a good price for a pair that will have plenty more bass than standard Heresies: http://littlerock.craigslist.org/ele/5831970094.html

Well, looks like I had one of those legendary Craigslist days we all hear about - saw an ad for three Klipsch speakers for $120 and they turned out to be Heresy HIP (Heresy Industrial Ported)! They will not win any beauty contests - 7-ply birch with an ugly after-market stain job and some white paint spatter, and each speaker has three large metal eyelets drilled into the cabinets to prevent theft. (Given I paid $40 per Heresy speaker that didn't work very well...) Serial numbers all start with "84" and then the serial numbers (e.g. 01292). Does that make them HIP I or HIP II? If HIP I, does anyone have specs? How can anyone complain about a lack of bass in Heresy speakers? I've tested all three HIP in my 2-channel rig (swapping out), and with speakers poorly placed (see pic) five feet from the wall the bass boom is pounding my head! Are these a different spec from the standard Heresy 1? I'm thinking of running the Heresy HIP as left & right mains plus center channel in my 5.1 home theater, using KG 3.5 for the rear surrounds or possibly KG 4.2. Hsu Research VTF-3 Mk IV sub. Do Heresy's play well with the KG series? If I get RF-7's at some point, would the HIP's as rear surrounds and center still mate well? Thanks for the thoughts, thanks for letting me gush. I'm a happy camper!
