Frzninvt
I found a JBL N1200 speaker near me but need some info on it. It's about the size of a Cornwall has metal legs so it can sit vertically. What drivers are in this thing? 2-Way, 3-Way? Efficiency? Thinking about using it as a center channel but know nothing about it. Were the woofer surrounds foam? If so they have surely deteriorated. Circa what year? 60's? Any idea what to offer as far as price on it? Web searches did not turn up much anyone have links to photos, specs, or driver complement? Thanks in advance. tigerwoodKhorns
Tons of info here: http://audioheritage.csdco.com/vbulletin/index.php? Looks like the N1200 is just a crossover designation. It may be a C34 speaker.
Frzninvt
Thanks Tigerwoods I think I found it with some digging. It is a C-40 Harkness but I don't know the driver complement since it could be configured a number of ways from the factory. Depending on configuration any idea what should offer for the thing? See attachment.
ZAKO
Useually the N1200 is used with the DLH 175 driver/horn
Frzninvt
Thanks Maron, After a little more digging you are spot on the N1200 network was used with the D130A Woofer and the DLH 175 driver/horn typically. I assume the D130A is a 15" woofer, was it a foam surround if so it is surely shot by now. These things were circa 1957? He only has a single. I'll probably offer like $300 for it and maybe $400 for the La Scala he has.
ZAKO
The 130A (15") is a M roll corrigated surround,,,(not foam),,,
