Clint Phare
I am blowing the high frequency fuse in one of my split "B" LaScala's. I can run pink noise up to 94db and then the fuse pops. How can I determine whats bad? Also how do I open that high freq. cabinet up? The low freq. driver is fine and continues to work ( different fuse ). Any help would be appreciated. LNEtubaPLYR
I had to replace the tweeter in my lascala and it was hell to get out but you have to take off the handle......unless you don't have a handle. i have the industrial ones. it has a handle on the side that you can take off. thats how i got into mine. you would think you could unscrew the mid horn because mine has screws around it but....nope. my 2 cents ill put it on your tab
Clint Phare
After talking to Trey I slapped a 2 amp fuse in the LaScala and tested it by running pink noise up to 100+db ( the pink noise and pressure level was my idea )The fuse has held so I am letting it buck until the monster roars it ugly head again ( hopefully never!). I have the high freq. cabinet that is full width in front and tapers to about 6" wide at the back. It looks like it would be a head scratching endevor to get the cabinet open enough to work on it.
