buccpirate
I have scoured the spec sheets between these two models, and found only one noticeable technical difference between these speakers. The RF-3 is rated at 225 watts max. continuous, and the RF-3II is rated at 150 watts. I know this can not be the only difference. Can anyone else point out what enhancements the newer model has? DrPyro
The RF-3II's have several changes 1.) colors other then black, 2.) Added new/more sound insulation inside 3.) Added wider feet (i think) 4.) Added a klipsch logo to the front of the speaker for those who like to run without grill covers 5.) I'm not sure...but i think they also have the Monster Z-series Cabling inside. As for sound...I don't know.... -Dave ------------------ Home Theater

boa12
also, what was the dif between american pie I & II? ------------------ My Home Systems Page
PhilH
Dr Pyro and boa you are correct, except the RF-3II still comes only in a black vinyl wrap cabinet (RF-5's and 7's are the floorstanders with choice on veneer cabinet flavors). They do now have Monster Cable inside. The larger feet are now installed at the factory, and the grills are beveled at the bottom in order that they don't break when you tip the speakers forward.
