scooter_nate
How can you tell if your caps need replacing in the Heresy II's? Thanks Nate

Daddy Dee
Dean is not just being snippy. If you could hear 20 year old speakers (stock) next to 20 year old speakers with fresh caps, you would definitely here the difference. The caps drift off spec over time, getting more resistive. For the owner who has listened to the speakers over the seasons, the change is too gradual to notice much. I do remember a Klipsch gathering where a group had been listening to freshing capped heresies and another member arrived having listened to original Heresy's for a couple of hours in his car on the way to the gathering. He had thoroughly enjoyed the sound and was shocked, as was the group, to hear the difference in sound with the freshly capped speakers.
