Al Klappenberger
Greg, A quick slice around the edge of the bug screen with and Xacto knife and some super glue after taking the picture. Very little dammage. It only goes to 6000 Hz in the speaker. The sound will get around the extra glue with no trouble! NOT! [] It's all done with a small flashlight! AL K. greg928gts
I'll have to try that. Jack at Assistance Audio was explaining to me how the sound comes from deep in the driver and around a phase plug or sorts. That's where they mount the tweeter when they do a coaxial. My question to him was - if I use a 4592 coax as a mid-only driver, would the sound be different than the 4592 mid-only driver? He said the phase plug was slightly different, but he didn't think it would change the sound enough for me to hear the difference.
