hornloaded_newb
I have a box of old crossover parts, the caps are easy as most are marked...but the coils all mean nothing to me without a value? Thanks

PrestonTom
Most folks do not have an inductance meter. However you might have access to a cd payer with test tones and a voltmeter and a resistor. Check at what frequency the voltage has dropped to 71% when the inductor is in series. It is a tedious way to get the answer.
hornloaded_newb
Thanks Tom...this is what I needed... So a resistor...any particular value? Are we somewhat mimicking a speaker load? So say an 8 ohm maybe? Wire it like a speaker, place the voltmeter in line with the positive? Or doesnt really matter... Run test tones and watch for the 29 percent voltage drop... any thing I got wrong? Thanks
JL Sargent
Amazingly you can buy an inductance meter straight from Hong Kong on Ebone for the paultry sum of 20 bucks.
