BigStewMan
i was given the question below, and not being an audio expert by a long shot, figured i could get him a better and more accurate answer from someone on this forum. i have four heresys and i also have synergy F3 system and have been happy with both. I appreciate someone helping me, help someone. I have attempted to put together an economical home audio system. I must qualify myself by saying that while I love good sound I lack the "technical" knowledge of what makes a good product. Specs may as well be written in greek. I have two wall mounted Synergy Series SLX speakers, two B2 Bookshelf speakers and a SC 5 Center channel. The only non-Klipsch speaker I am using is the Onkyo subwoofer that came with the "Out of the Box" set I once had but am still using the Onkyo HT-R340 receiver. The issue I have is this: I have a set of Klipsch ProMedia THX speakers I use on my computer. They sound INCREDIBLE! Why don't I have that same "full" sound on my home audio system? No matter what I do it seems to be lacking the midrange presence I get while rocking out at my computer.
sunburnwilly
The easy explanation is that the pro medias are in his face whereas the other speakers have to fill a room .
willland
The easy explanation is that the pro medias are in his face whereas the other speakers have to fill a room . You took the words right out of my mouth. At his computer, he is probably no more than 2 feet from all of his speakers. Kind of like the B**E displays at the big box stores. Those little cubes sound great from 3 feet but put them in a 3000 cubic foot room and they will sound similar to a transister radio.
