vjboxer
I recently received a pair of RF-7's and one of them was damaged in shipping. The front black panel, motherboard came off of the cabinet and cracked in two between the two drivers. I called Klipsch and since this is considered part of the cabinet, they do not have replacement parts for it, they suggested a furniture repair shop. I was wondering if you think it would affect the quality of the sound if the motherboard was glued back together and then glued back onto the cabinet. Or if you can come up with other options. I have notified the shipper of the damage and will be working with them to resolve this.
CECAA850
I believe that the front panel where the drivers mount is MDF painted black. I wouldn't try gluing it back together. I'd have a new one made or have the shipping co. get you a new cabinet.
Daddy Dee
vj, I agree that it isn't likely repairable. I'd suggest to hold out with the shipper to buy a replacement.
