Hallo.

How to set a LCD tv in a right way?

I put sharpness on 0 and the contrast on 80 %.for the best result.

What are your settings with the sharpness and the contrast?

Please let me know.

To go the quick cheap route just get a movie that is encoded with THX and somewhere in the setup menu there will be a video calibration walk through. Works pretty great for being free.

i don't have an lcd tv, so my settings arent going to be helpful to you. beyond that, each set is different and the amount of ambient light and other variables make each tv setup's "sweet spot" unique. do some research and testing on your own through the many resources suggested here and then ultimately tweak your tv to what looks best to your own eyes.

I've learned to lower the sharpness to almost 0. On my new TV I have it set to 5 and I like how everything looks.

I also had to bump my contrast up, probably at about 70% of maximum.

As others have said, each TV set is different and each room and the lighting in the room will result in different settings being the best for you.

Like I mentioned in my above post, DVDs such as Avia or DVE will help you set everything correctly.
