CYBERSHEB
I have a Marantz SR-8000 connected to KLF-30's & KLF-C7. The receiver trips (switchs off) after nearly half and hour of listening everytime. I have checked the cables for loose connections and have rewired the whole system twice, still the same. Can you please help me out with this. boa12
cyb, sounds like it's overheating. how hard you drivin it? does it have proper ventilation on top & bottom? or could just be a faulty switch inside. ------------------ My Home Systems Page
TheEAR
Check the wires, when in use verify if tyhe top of the reciever is not very hot.Good ventilation is a must. If this fails ... Do you have some timer set on it? LOL If no timer cuts the reciever contact your dealer or send an e-mail to Marantz. The KLF's dont need many watts to blast so the reciever cannot be working very much. CYBERSHEB
No.. i don't drive it too hard. And yes it has proper ventilation. I've never set the timer, but i don't think its that.. sometimes it does'nt have any problem through out. Anyways.. i'll keep looking and also inform Marantz. Thanks for you help..guys
DrPyro
CYBER- It does sound like overheating...check your speaker connections and be sure you don't have a single wire strand touching the case (look very closely...it only takes one tiny wire). -Dave ------------------ Home Theater
