The Dude
So I have a cheaper turntable here sl-bd27, and I was thinking that Gardo makes some 60-80 dollar p style carts. 1 question is that will any p style car fit on my turntable if it has a p style plug. 2 plus after updating to the rx-402, and some good cable which have made my Corns sing will a cart like one of these do me some justice in the upgrade mode. Looking forward to responses. duder
TheEvan
All p's should be exactly compatible. If you've got a cheapie in there now you should hear a nice difference.
The Dude
Couple more quick question since I started to do a little more research, I didn't want this to turn complex for me but I also don't want to waste my money(even though some my think I am anyways with this table) but the cart I was looking at was a Grado black 1 prestige series phono cartridge it has recommended tracking grams at 1-2 since my table is cheapo it was factory set at 1.25grams didn't think this would be a problem but is there anything else I should look at other than a better table. I know there was a link someone posted a ways back about table and cart set ups I saved it on my other comp but cant seem to find it. I was thinking I should read over this a gain maybe that would help me make a smarter decision. thanks for your quick reply TheEVan. duder
TheEvan
P-mount arms are preset for 1.25 grams and shouldn't be adjustable. I'm guessing the recommended tracking force is for that model's standard mount counterpart.
