RockOn4Klipsch
I know this has been covered before but there was no explanation to the "K55 Rattle" Thread posted a few years back. My issue is that both my k55 have a slight buzz at higher SPLs, I've read that this is a known issue with the black platic cover vibrating, when I press on the covering the buzz is eliminated, I've opened the driver and cleaned it all out, the diaphrams appear to be in good condition. When prying off the plastic cover is there any where I need to be extra careful not to damage under the black cover. After the cover is removed, what glue would be best suited for the task, plastic to metal? I've gather from the original thread from Trey to only glue around the edges. Thanks in advance guys. djk
Goop would be a good choice.
Groomlakearea51
Make sure both surfaces are really clean. Usethin bead of contact cement, or a cyanoacrylate type of glue. make sure you let it really dry before using. [H]
djk
Have you ever used Goop? It has properties similar to contact cement, and properties similar to silicone seal. http://www.amazinggoop.com/amazinggoop/index.html
