edster00 Posted April 5, 2002 Share Posted April 5, 2002 The AH! Tjoeb is a great little CD player...which model does he have? I have used both, they are right on par with the Rega's. I have used both models of the AH! Tjoeb, but I ended up keeping my McIntosh MCD-7007. I edited my post to add that the Tjoeb is a 99. Seems there are those who feel the Rega is a better player for the money (mobilehomeless) but Jazman likes his Tjoeb better. Hmm, why is it this stuff comes across your desk when you are least expecting it (or prepared for it!)? I know that the Fisher 400-X uses four EL34 Tubes as opposed to the more costly 7591's used in my Fisher 800B. Believe it or not, I like both and have been spending a week at a time listening to each connected to my Belles and 2A3 Moondogs, or my Eico HF81 and Cornwalls. One of these days I'll try to post my final impressions. I'm sure you will not dislike the Tjoeb99 especially if you use non stock tubes.
