jonvan
Saw an ad in the paper today for Corwall II's? are these bigger/smaller than my Forte's. What drivers etc/good match? Info PLEASE. J.
Frzninvt
They are larger width wise, possibly around the same height. The tweeter and midrange in the Cornwall II's should be similar to your Forte's. They utilize a single foward firing 15" woofer and are ported if I am not mistaken, efficiency runs about 101db @ 1W @ i Meter. Very nice speakers, you will not be disappointed if you can get them for a decent price and if they are in good shape. ------------------ If it's too loud, your too old
Dale A B
The last time I see the Cornwall (II) mentioned in Audio magazine is Oct. 89. Bass reflex design, 15" woofer, 1 1/2" Midrange, 1" tweeter (both horns of course). Frequency response is 38-20, spl of 101, 36 x 26 x 16". Weight is 100# and they listed for $819.00 each. I myself am looking for Cornwalls to replace my Forte II's as front speakers (along with some sweet-talking to the female unit). Good luck!
